Slaves are probably one of the harshest, grittiest sounding rock bands to reach mainstream prominence in recent years. Their roots are mainly in hardcore punk and that definitely shines through in their music, and they've fused all these influences into new, unique styles. Tracks like "The Hunter" and "Do Something" best represent their capabilities and showcase their enormous energy. A solid debut, then, and one most likely coming to a festival stage near you this summer. Buckle up and be satisfied.

There's a playful quality to the chunky adrenalin-soaked fuzz the duo create. [Jul 2015, p.86]

From the poorly thought out lyrics to the day-glo “punk” cover and the calls to revolution that ring hollower with every listen, this is an album that flatters to deceive.
