Jan 10, 2020Birdy's skills as a musician and songwriter are quite unbelievable at her age, her album 'Fire within' was already so impressive and this was her 2nd record that i've listened to. Her work demonstrates the deepest of humanity and the highest calibre of vocal and musical range. Truly magical : )

Q MagazineApr 8, 2016For all the craft she shows, for all her ability to move and for all the promise of the zinging, Indian-inflected Growing Pains, Birdy is undone by an unwillingness to change her musical pace. [Jun 2016, p.110]

Apr 8, 2016With more life, richer texture, and an inspiring attitude, Beautiful Lies is Birdy's declaration that she is more than able to make her mark in the big leagues and join the ranks of the alternative pop pantheon.

Apr 8, 2016Even if the Eastern influence isn’t overwhelming there, the rest of Beautiful Lies flows together smoothly, perfectly soothing, never quite reinventing the water wheel, but never quite having to.
