Easily one of my top 5 records of the year. Perfect burnt-out core. Feels like going down a rabbit hole of existential dread whilst smoking a blunt and pretending that everything will be okay. Dean Blunt is a great hegemonic, R&B indie musician and this offering almost acts as epilogue/sequel for the original heavy metal record. Incredible stuff.

Shows off a rare side to Blunt: a soul-baring sincerity. [Sep 2021, p.25]

With its 10 tracks and 24-minute running time, this unexpected sequel--its sleeve nodding playfully to Dr Dre's 2001-might look like a small-scale musical property, but once inside, it's a mansion. [Sep 2021, p.84]
