Iconic Super Album. Absolutely love this album. So great to listen to while creating art! Opener Change is amazing and builds into an electrifying crescendo! Hate Dancin gets better with each listen, reminds me of Michael Jackson. Astroturf is amazing with a gnarly flute solo. Gondii, Exploding Suns and the final track all form a beautiful ending. Changes is the most subdued and modest record of the Gizzard’s October harvest.

Its seamless collection of earworm melodies and heady grooves make for a pretty compelling argument that it was well worth the wait.

The result borders on easy listening with a yacht-pop vibe, before the psychedelic starbursts come out to play. [Nov 2022, p.75]
