Coesão, um álbum maduro e seguro de si, pega o experimento que foi Artpop, aprimora com housedance e lembranças do passado nos contando uma história.

A great album, but the first time listening you think it's a little weird but that's the point, after you get so close to gaga and start dancing.

The best album of the decade. Lady Gaga takes us back to the 80s and 90s, the songs in a taste of nostalgia with a sense of the future.

A full 7 years after her last electro-infused pop album ARTPOP, Lady Gaga returns with what in some ways can be considered the 'real deal' of what she’s always attempted: a dark, honest and innovative exploration of her deepest insecurities.

While ARTPOP was met with criticism at its release, Chromatica reassesses this rejection: perhaps Gaga was just a little too early for a sonic trend she knew was inevitable. Now appears to be the time for her to truly embrace her House-inspired craft in her mainstream work, along with producers BloodPop, Axwell, and Madeon, amongst others.

Where Chromatica truly triumphs is that Lady Gaga has grown confident in expressing her deepest anxieties, all while letting go of the lyrical abstractions she found herself caught in with The Fame Monster and ARTPOP. Chromatica is blunt, and beautifully so. In every track, her inhibitions are simultaneously her inspiration and her lessons learned. The record tackles themes that have been thus far taboo in pop music: depression, PTSD, abuse, and loss of self – elevated all the more through sophisticated instrumentals. Who said mental health can't be cool?

Chromatica é a volta de lady gaga ao mundo pop. Um regate ao Eletro house anos 90 de forma repaginada, e misturando estilos que estão em alta atualmente. Gaga sempre renovando o seu estilo mas nunca perdendo as raízes.

The nostalgia in the production — a blend of crisp digital synth textures and ringing grooves drawn directly from '90s house music — further bolsters the shadowed euphoria of a song like "Sour Candy," in which Gaga is joined by the K-pop girl group Blackpink; "Sine from Above," featuring Elton John, gets a similar friction from the interplay between their voices.

Infectious, exciting and even a little hedonistic during some of the most confusing of modern times, now’s never been a better time to get lost in this new destination.

Chromatica’s frank grappling with the vagaries of Gaga’s brain – and the way fame exacerbates them – ends up feeling much more real than touring dive bars with a guitar and a Stetson ever did.
