IanJun 16, 2005Surprisingly strong. Proof that the Slum don't need Jay Dilla to carry them or sustain their career. My favorite hip hop album of last year edging out the conceptual masterpiece of Dead Prez's RBG, but only just....

JamieLSep 22, 2004I rate it a 7 b/c its average. Slum is better than this. Ergo the problem. Slum is not featrured on the album. T-3 and Elzhi are great MC's but the entire album is sorely missing Baatin and JayDee(production and lyrics). Fantastic Vol 2... Detroit Deli is NOT!!! Vol was a CLASSIC...Hopefully the will ALL reassemble and make another CLASSIC!!!!

UrbT3's iconistic delivery and Elzhi's endearing and logistically strong raps hold it down, and collaborations shine brilliantly. [Jul/Aug 2004, p.126]
