Agree with Leroy and Chris. Road to Rouen was innovating and inspired, this is just a step back. It's not badly done though, but Supergrass has done it better in the past.

Awesome, although there are many songs I do not like.

Great album, better than Road to Rouen which I liked too. One tip though - give it more than one listen!

I totally agree with Leroy B. I thought Road to Rouen was a lovely piece of work and was really looking forward to this. Unfortunately some of the tunes on here are less memorable some on their self titled third album. Disappointed. Change the direction back to Rouen !

I agree with Greg. I'm not sure what many of the critics were listening to or what they know about the band. This is a great album and easily ranks amongst their best work. The only proviso is that it takes a few listens to sink in but your patience will be rewarded, believe me. If the world was fair, these guys would be global superstars.

Did these critics even listen to the album? I'm hard pressed to imagine a single weak track on this entirely cohesive and entertaining album.

As a huge fan of the Grass it pains me to say this, but this is a very disappointing album. Seems the boys have overcompensated a little too much for the laidback nature of their last album. After the impressive experimental work on Road to Rouen , this just seems like a step backwards (ie slickly produced (possibly too slick) straight down the line rock songs). Supergrass have done this all before, and they've done it much better. Expand

  1. You get the feeling that, in the long run, Diamond Hoo Ha is destined to be remembered as one of the lesser works in their canon.
  2. Overall, it’s a brash, shiny, confident record, careering along on a second wind, or as one jaunty number puts it, “the return of inspiration.”
  3. Their sixth collection is broad, bouncy and almost entirely forgettable.
