Drowners executes and mixes The Smiths and Strokes sound very well and creates a catchy post-punk record with style and flare. I can expect something even greater for their next album

Simply catchy and amazing. During the album you can get that Brit-pop, Post-Punk record that drives you to old times like you're living in the mid 90's.

Drowners wear their influences with pride, but their charm is all their own. [Mar 2014, p.112]

Drowners prove themselves competent in making a tight indie rock album full of enjoyable melodies, but their strict adherence to formula and professionalism is undermining and can be dull.

On record, there is an irresistible sprightliness in the songs that says these guys haven’t worried once about their near-tribute sound.
