Jun 19, 2021This is hands down the best album GBV have made in a long time, and they have made a bunch of great records in the last 10 years. The whole album is catchy and has more variation than any album of theirs I can think of. Maybe not the best since Alien Lanes, but at least the best since Isolation Drills. If you like GBV, get ready to rock and roll.

May 4, 2021Hardcore fans will likely find things to be affectionate about here, with Pollards knack for sweet melodies with a rough edge still just about shining through, but the safe production and tired performance means Earth Man Blues is ignorable for those outside of the '90s indie sphere.

May 4, 2021Earth Man Blues stands out slightly from the several records that came before it, for both its abundance of hooks and its tendency to take the songs even further off the deep end. As with most GbV albums, it's a wonderfully bizarre and occasionally disarming ride through warped thoughts and cracked beauty.

May 4, 2021Like all GBV albums, it’s slipshod and freewheeling. ... Also like GBV albums, there are bright spots, and they make dismissing the band harder than it should be.
