Mar 29, 2023The 75-year-old “Godfather of punk” begins the new LP with a typically masculine statement: “Got a dick and two balls, that's more than you all,” which in 2023 can sound confidently only from his lips. And this is a comprehensive description of his comeback, showing that the rebel has not changed at all even in his seventies.

Jan 14, 2023For more than 30 minutes on “Every Loser,” Iggy Pop delivers a fiery performance that shows his new, younger bandmates how and why he is still the ruler over the Kingdom of Punk.

Feb 13, 2023The assorted GN’R + Chili Peppers musicians backing Iggy sound like an actual Rock band playing from the hearts (as opposed to their wallets). The lyrics are top-drawer Iggy. This album ranks among mr. Osterberg’s Top 5 easily, there’s no filler on this lean beast of an album.

Aug 17, 2023Good album, pretty diverse. Good instrumental, too. Listened to it like a dozen times.

Feb 15, 2023This is his most consistent, fully realized album since Brick by Brick (1990). It’s maybe even his best in more than four decades since New Values was released in 1979.

Jan 13, 2023There's a heady joy in his bile that's infectious, and Every Loser is a weirdly joyous celebration of life from someone who knows why you shouldn't toss it aside.

Jan 12, 2023There are moments when Every Loser’s carefree bravado degenerates into puerile silliness (amid the Stonesy trash of “All the Way Down,” you’ll find nuggets like “I’m gonna blow up a turd!”), but such outbursts are balanced by more nuanced, emotionally resonant performances.
