Apr 15, 2023This is truly a charming album, can't wait to explore the rest of Father John Misty's work!
-
Aug 25, 2022Scattered, funny and terribly produced unfortunately. A lot of the songs sound like "something" you've heard before
-
Dec 25, 2021Under his new person of Father John Misty, Tillman reinvents himself in the best way possible with a unique debut album that stands out as an indie gem.

Jul 2, 2013A lot of the songs sound like "something" you've heard before, but every track is solid. I wish he stayed in Fleet Foxes because he and Robin had great chemistry

May 22, 2012He is much better with Fleet Foxes than when he is alone as "Father John Misty", but the album has many Fleet Foxes elements deep within. I found that this album was quite good and I had a couple of listens to it. Overall, not bad... keep up the good work.

Jan 29, 2013Though he dumbs up his songwriting half the time by fearing fun literally as regards forward motion, don't give up.
-
Dec 20, 2012Fear Fun leaves his previous work in the dust.

Nov 29, 2012[An] inspired brew of, indeed, both fear and fun.
