    My favorite album of the year(so far). Not one drum hit or guitar squelch can be forgotten in this album's warpath. Track after track, I'm astounded by Gareth's delivery and how the band puts their instruments down so carefully. The lyrics are confrontational and abstract at once. This album reminds me the end is nearer than we can all fathom, but we must limp on through the burning hallsMy favorite album of the year(so far). The lyrics are confrontational and abstract at once. This album reminds me the end is nearer than we can all fathom, but we must limp on through the burning halls trying our hardest.

    This album is more aggressive than their newest previous effort, I See Seaweed(10/10 album), but its fury, unfortunately is at its peak during the first song, Private Execution, though there is a steady pace that is kept up as you continue on. Private Execution is the condemnation of oneself when there is nothing left. To force yourself into the electric chair, day one of a ??? year death sentence. The track has a torrent of dysphoric guitars screeching down on your ears and a drum that tries to keep a beat, then Liddiard starts hissing his quest to devolve and or die. His snide, snarling, severe voice backed for every moment of the track.

    I could ramble on forever, but in closing, this is not an album for those who cannot take nihil or aggressively depressing themes, this for those who marinate in it like steak.    … Expand

    Dark horse album of the year contender so far? I think yes. Feelin' Kinda Free is an absolutely manic collection of tracks with elements of noise rock, post punk, blues, hip-hop and whatever else these crazy Australians have up their sleeves. From the creepy and surprisingly catchy Taman Shud to the emotional centerpiece To Think that I Still Love You, this record is a punch to the face inDark horse album of the year contender so far? I think yes. Feelin' Kinda Free is an absolutely manic collection of tracks with elements of noise rock, post punk, blues, hip-hop and whatever else these crazy Australians have up their sleeves. From the creepy and surprisingly catchy Taman Shud to the emotional centerpiece To Think that I Still Love You, this record is a punch to the face in the best way possible. My only complaint is that the last two tracks aren't quite as good as their predecessors.… Expand
