    No seu melhor afrobeat, Tony Allen nos apresenta ao jazz com cultura, e em faixas eletrizantes como 'Go Back', 'Ire Omo', 'Ewa' entre muitas outras, eu diria que o estilo de Tony ainda mais nesse álbum é bem diferente da maioria que estamos acostumados a ouvir do jazz, mas ele simplesmente trouxe-o de volta e fez se tornar sua própria energia nas músicas, e ainda consegue trazer qualidadeNo seu melhor afrobeat, Tony Allen nos apresenta ao jazz com cultura, e em faixas eletrizantes como 'Go Back', 'Ire Omo', 'Ewa' entre muitas outras, eu diria que o estilo de Tony ainda mais nesse álbum é bem diferente da maioria que estamos acostumados a ouvir do jazz, mas ele simplesmente trouxe-o de volta e fez se tornar sua própria energia nas músicas, e ainda consegue trazer qualidade nos instrumentais, ainda assim deixando sua essência ao mostrar a cultura africana nesta obra musical.… Expand

    On first listen it might seem simple, almost naïve; but it becomes increasingly complex as the record progresses, and with every listen. It builds convincingly until its final track, by which point your head feels like an echo chamber for stray rhythms and juddering off-beats. Afrofunk is alive and kicking.
