    One of my favourites of 2016. No filler at all on this. It was such a surprise that it turned out this good. I mean I did not expect to love this at all.

    Mature real rap over less-is-more beats from a great Odd Futurist. Hodgy creates positive heat in Fireplace and wild fires on the West Coast hip-hop scene.

    It was pretty good. Some clever bars here and there, a lil wayne feature, solid beats. Hodgy is really just doing some of the same stuff he did with Odd Future but just at a better level.

    To Hodgy’s credit, several of the tracks on Fireplace do manage to break free of vague personal change into songs that are resonant for their tension.
