This album is just as great as Traveller. It has such rawness and Chris's voice is awe inspiring. Can't wait for Volume 11. I can't stop listening to Either Way and I Was Wrong. Will rip your heart out.

Chris Stapleton is a country artist whose talent cannot be denied. I don't think you have to be a fan of the genre to be a fan of his music. From A Room Vol 1 continues to showcase Stapleton's incredible song writing ability and soulful voice. I found enjoyment on every single track on this album. Its composed of only 9 songs and is only half as long as his first album Traveller but IChris Stapleton is a country artist whose talent cannot be denied. One of the birghtest stars in country music. A voice that's like a fresh rain in the drought season. A lyricist genius. Actually more cohesive than 'Traveller', but we only have to wait for vol.2.

From a Room transforms every moment--a vocal run here, a guitar lick there--into something much bigger, raising anticipation even higher for Volume 2.

From A Room, Volume One manages to pull off that rare trick of sounding both fresh and familiar, as dauntless as it is consoling. [Jul 2017, p.28]

The genre is wide, but Stapleton's Room is so narrow and old-fashioned that, despite its quality songwriting, it feels stifling at times.
