best pop album of 2016! not even lying, of course there were great pop/rock or R&B albums, but this is the best pop album of 2016, it is nearly pop perfection, sad it didn’t have more music videos for Liar or Change Your Mind for example… it was a comeback!!! but it wasn’t promoted as good as it should’ve been… YOU ROCK BRITNEY

"Glory" is an appropriate name for this project that marks Britney's comeback after a three-year hiatus, in a very satisfactory way. It's a good album, with many fresh bops, including the infectious dancefloor hit "Slumber Party".

Resaltan: What You Need, Liar, Hard To Forget You, Do You Wanna Come Over? Puntaje: 67/100 -

The problem with this album was the missed opportunities. This record have great tracks like Slumber Party, Better, Private Show and one of the best songs in Britney's career: Make Me. A música transcende poder e raiva diante a situação. 78/100 Expand

"Glory" was the best album of the 2010s in my opinion. Now this one was a comeback! Britney herself said that she was very involved in the process which she hadn’t been in a long time (probably since "Blackout" which was released in 2007) and she called it her "baby". "Glory" picked up where Britney‘s magnum opuses "In the Zone" (2003) and "Blackout" (2007) left off. Those two albums were"Glory" was the best album of the 2010s in my opinion. Those two albums were experimental (for Britney’s standards), she tried something new with them, she was involved in the songwriting and production process and they were her sexiest works. All of that is exactly what she did with "Glory" as well, which is why it ranks at number three in the list of her best albums right after those two masterpieces that I mentioned above. Vocally it is Britney‘s best album since "Britney" (2001). She’s no Whitney Houston but she does show off what she can do with her unique voice on this album on songs like "Private Show" or "What You Need". Now don’t get me wrong. I LOVED "Circus" (2008) and "Femme Fatale" (2011). They were two excellent pop albums but "Circus" felt a bit rushed and maybe uninspired (?) in some parts, while "Femme Fatale" was a great dance pop album but it Britney wasn’t involved in it at all and lacked personality. "Britney Jean" (2013) was lacklustre but not terrible either. It did have its gems but it was definitely her worst album. So "Glory" was a HUGE improvement. For the first time ever Britney sang in different languages; French ("Coupure Électrique"), Spanish ("Change Your Mind") and even a made up language in "Man on the Moon". It‘s a pop album overall but it plays with R&B ("Make Me..."), doo-wop ("Private Show"), electronical music ("Clumsy"), latin pop ("Change Your Mind"), pop-rock ("Liar"), tropical house ("Better"), experimental pop ("If I‘m Dancing"), reggae ("Slumber Party") and burlesque sounds ("What You Need"). Songs like "Do You Wanna Come Over?", "Change Your Mind", "Make Me..." and "Mood Ring" bring back the sexy Britney that we know and love. "Coupure Électrique", "Mood Ring“, "Love Me Down" and "Do You Wanna Come Over?" also remind me of the iconic dark dance sound that "Blackout" had.
"Just Like Me", "Liar", "Just Luv Me" and "Man on the Moon" are the deepest songs on the album and could be autobiographical. All in all "Glory" is pop perfection and the return of the "old" Britney.

Favorites: Do You Wanna Come Over?, Make Me..., Love Me Down, Liar & Mood Ring

This album is surprisingly lengthy, experimental, and vocally interesting. This predominantly mid-tempo record is certainly a reprieve from the back-to-back dance hits for which she is known, but Britney pulls it off beautifully. The following are highlights on the record:

    Make Me
Slumber Party (album version, minus the unnecessary Tinashe collaboration)
    Man On The Moon
    Change Your Mind
    Liar
Just Like Me (Very interesting vocal delivery; Britney is singing with her natural deep register, and singing along with a guitar-- the track appears to be largely a cappella. One of the most interesting songs she has ever done, both lyrically and vocally).

    Tracks to skip:

If I’m Dancing (the working definition of the word “cacophony”)

Private Show (painful vocal delivery and cringe-worthy lyrics)

Do You Wanna Come Over? (This promo track and clear single-contender suffered enormously from the chaotic, off-key chorus of men haphazardly shouting in the background. Sans that highly unpleasant and recurrent disruption, this would’ve been a solid pop track).

talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, **** on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it...

I wait a little bit more in her next album . I think that she can put her soul for the first time in the album .

It's Britney's best album in years, it does not beat Femme Fatale, but it's still pretty good. Pity that Britney let lose some good songs like Love Me Down, Change Your Mind, Liar, Just Luv Me ... really every song of the album deserved to be single, except for Private Show and What You Need, which are the worst of the album. 9/10

Still releasing the best pop music in the industry nearly 20 years after her debut. Nobody else has done that and nobody else will.

Best album of Britney Spears, every track sounds perfect and unique.
Moreover, we can hear an optimal mix between sound effects and Britney's real voice, and we all know how amazing is her voice!
The only flaw is that the best tracks are located in the deluxe edition (Liar, Change your mind), but it doesn't matter! Welcome back, Britney!

"Glory" is for sure one of the best albums Britney has ever released. We can understand the emotion and the feeling in all the songs. It has a more RnB vibe, though, there are some pretty good pop-dance tracks, such as "Do You Wanna Come Over?" and "Slumber Party". I was really surprised by the quality of the Deluxe Edition tracks, which are better than some of the Standard Edition ones."Glory" is for sure one of the best albums Britney has ever released. The production here is incredible, the track-listing is on point ("Invitation" is a good opener and "Coupure Electrique" the perfect closer) and the vocals are better than ever, even though we can clearly hear the auto-tune in some tracks, which can be annoying. My personal favorites are "Change Your Mind", "Liar", "Coupure Electrique" and "Just Luv Me".

A solid album, that with better promotion and a better song chosen as the lead single, it would have been a commercial success

Britney Spears showcased her voice very well on Glory. Glory is easily one of the best Britney album she has ever made. 2016 is definitely Britney and Glory's year and I think this album deserves more recognition.

Britney Spears is back with her winning pop-perfection formula with standout songs like "Slumber Party", "Liar", "Love Me Down", "Man on the Moon" and "Change Your Mind". It is finally time to forget her "Pretty Girls" days and recognize her influence of a pop-star that never ages.

She recovered very well of the Britney Jean era. GLORY is the saviour of pop in 2016 for me. People lose time comparing female artists albums, they forget BRITNEY SPEARS is a must listen to in the industry.

This album makes me (ooh)... WOW! It's incredible, but very underrated by critics. There's a different sound, a sexier Spears, It creates a wonderful atmosphere, especially with Make Me... and Slumber Party. If she sponsored more the album instead of the Residency it would be a big popularity.

However, Although Spears may not be as relevant in the music scene in the sense that she is not starting twitter beefs with others and deterring her fans with her purposeful pop (cough cough Katy Perry), the songs on this album see Spears happier and in a better place creating the music that her fans have appreciated her for. Since this albums release, certain albums have been labelled as part of the Britney B***h trinity. These album are of course In The Zone (2003), Blackout (2007) and Glory (2016). Why? This is because these albums are the creme de la creme of her career. This album is probably her strongest comeback yet and thus implements her title of The Princess of Pop. Expand

This is certainly the most confident, creative and most hard-worked album since In The Zone or Blackout, two Pop gems. The album's sound is very planned, and has some new sounds that long-time fans never excepted to hear from Britney - she surprise us singing in French and Spanish! 'Invitation', that clearly is an invite to us, translates into a simply but softly romantic demand. I Did it Again nostalgia with 'Clumsy', and a sexy latin dance with No Seas Cortés. An amazing track, featured in the Japonese's editions, 'Mood Ring', features a personal meaning to it's lyrics and a catchy sound. There are some sounds that didn't went along very well, like 'Private Show', although it deserves a credit for at least trying to create a unique sound. Although it marks no significant shift in style--she’s still mining the same pop-R&B seam--it’s undoubtedly a better effort than its predecessor.

Like Britney herself, Glory is a fascinating if flawed listen--while she remains very much a singles artist, this is her most successful record in a while, and still contains glimpses of why she remains so compelling, 18 years into her career.
  3. Glory is no masterpiece, but it’s a marked improvement on 2013’s ‘Britney Jean’, a messy attempt to merge thumping EDM tunes with supposedly reflective midtempo songs.
