Sep 12, 2023The brilliance of this album cannot be overstated. We’re back in the 90s and 2000s and God do I love it. This is what pop albums used to sound like. But it’s not just nostalgic, wonderfully angsty pop-punk/pop-rock. It’s also folk (“lacy”) and New Wave (“pretty isn’t pretty”). You hear elements of Taylor, Avril, P!nk, early Katy, Sara Bareilles, Hole.

Sep 12, 2023OLIVIA ENTREGOU-SE COMPLETAMENTE NESTE ALBUM, ESTE ALBUM MOLDOU SUA CARREIRA DE AGORA EM DIANTE, 10.
-
Sep 11, 2023Album is very cohesive. It was like riding a roller coaster, having to go through different emotions while listening to the album.
-
Sep 11, 2023Perfectly encapsulates the feelings of being a girl in her late teens/early twenties. A true pop princess!
-
Sep 11, 2023this album is actually a masterpiece. the angsty and raw songwriting isn't cringe, as some people claim, this kind of art is great for teens like Olivia herself. she's spilling her guts in a way that is so theatrical and exaggerated, in some ways this album feels like the superb soundtrack of an iconic 2000s movie, it is sonically and lyrically cohesive. 10/10 album.
-
Sep 11, 2023This album is relatably depressing, confiding, playful, and yet aggressive. Olivia did a great job and for sure she’ll be relevant for yearsss.
Who hates it just hates fun. -

Sep 11, 2023she made teenage dream and making the bed for me, this is a masterpiece and the lyrics are all so relatable.
-
Sep 11, 2023Olivia Rodrigo is certainly one of the main singers who will most mark her generation, in addition to having a beautiful voice, she exudes her talent as a composer and demonstrates this in GUTS, which shows that the princess of pop/rock is here to stay, Olivia Rodrigo is definitely someone worth following

Sep 11, 2023instant classic! bringing up the 2000s sound was so smart and it became her mark, i really hope she continues using it on her next albums, but will be eating it up even if that doesnt happen! she knows how to serve and she KNOWS music. its amazing how far she come with 20 years and only 2 years of career, but not surprising. she is definetely going places. already is.

Sep 18, 2023“Teenage Dream” recycles a song title of Katy Perry’s and echoes a twisty-turny melody of Lana Del Rey’s. Yet Rodrigo’s emotional presence is so strong throughout “Guts” — so believable even at its most unrelatable — that you never lose the sense of a specific young person navigating a trial of her own making.
-
Sep 15, 2023GUTS is emphatic proof that Rodrigo isn't just good for a kid -- she's grown into an artist with plenty of things to say, and the confidence and eloquence to say them her way.
-
Sep 13, 2023These songs show that Rodrigo isn’t done after GUTS.
