    Brutal. A perfect 10. All of its songs are 10/10. I loved every song, every line, every rhythm, every bridge. As a sophomore album, I believe it could be tought as the best of this century. Olivia has a a very big future in this industry. My favorite song is vampire, followed by the grudge. Vampire heals me and break my mind with every letter.     Well, Olivia Rodrigo has increased her discography with this new masterpiece. Her sophomore album "GUTS" is probably the best thing she has done in her career so far.

    It's great, Olivia is giving us something fresh after many Clasic and Comercial pop, my favs are the slow down songs. I think Olivia is finding her sound. The she wrote the song, and the way she is so literal to giving us a story or just a feeling is so incredibly. There are two songs in the album that remember me to Drivers License, some notes are similarly and it's giving me nostalgic bcIt's great, Olivia is giving us something fresh after many Clasic and Comercial pop, my favs are the slow down songs.     First listen: I think I enjoyed SOUR better on its first listen. We'll see how it goes on subsequent listens.
    Musically, I think this is more mature. Overall, lyrically there hasn't been much movement. OR has lots of room for growth and I look forward to it.

    I think the lead singles are the strongest on the album. "bad idea right?" is spot on.

    O álbum da olivia é melhor que o primeiro guts veio mais consistente. Mesmo assim ainda não teve aquele grande crescimento musicalmente o álbum é uma continuação do sour não me surpreendeu em nada.

    This is worse than sour... It sounds the same as her older songs and there is no artistic evolution. I expected more tbh. The lyricism is something a 13 year old would write and the production has some good parts but her voice and the production don’t fit to the rock/grunge influence.

    Um album mais maduro e menos imediato que o Sour, vemos uma evolução visível tanto no estilo musical, quanto nas letras que são de emocionar e muito fáceis de se identificar, eu mesmo me senti tocado de uma forma que nenhum trabalho dela havia feito antes, simplesmente perfeito, amei, recomendo.

    Incredibly mature sophomore album. Olivia Rodrigo demonstrates her staying power with a dynamic sound that makes you feel like the main character in a coming of age indie film. Diverse sounds from start to finish, cheeky lyrics, and a rollercoaster of emotions in this one. 10/10

    Mixed bag. Some songs are so innovative like 'ballad of a homeschooled girl' and 'the grudge'. But other songs, she tries too hard to sound like Avril Lavigne. It's not that it's bad, it's just forgettable.

    Olivia Rodrigo’s sophomore album feels very much like a retread both thematically and lyrically. Her style of emo rock lite is as accessible as it is vapid and lacks the edge to feel authentic. Production wise, GUTS is fantastic and takes heavy influences from artists like Beck, Garbage and 90’s shoegaze. Unfortunately, I can’t give Rodrigo points for that which is a shame because it’s theOlivia Rodrigo’s sophomore album feels very much like a retread both thematically and lyrically. Her style of emo rock lite is as accessible as it is vapid and lacks the edge to feel authentic. Production wise, GUTS is fantastic and takes heavy influences from artists like Beck, Garbage and 90’s shoegaze. Unfortunately, I can’t give Rodrigo points for that which is a shame because it’s the best thing about the album - that honor goes to Daniel Nigro who once again does all the heavy lifting. Neither ambitious or particularly interesting. Olivia can sing but her lyrics leave a lot to be desired for anyone over the age of 15. It reads like someone who grew up being driven to charter school in a Lexus and got artisanal sandwiches for lunch. Olivia’s attempt to seem edgy comes off as SoCal phony. 4/10… Expand

However, this album lacks its own personality; Rather than feeling like a new experience and an evolution of Sour, it feels like any song on this album could easily be a Sour Bonus Track. There are very good songs like "lacy", "logical" or "making the bed", but that'sOlivia Rodrigo's 2nd studio album is a Pop-Punk experience about the feeling of growing up and maturing as a teenager.     Almost a parallel to Sour, it's a good album with some great tracks (The two singles, All American..., Logical). Once again another album which will deservedly receive praise, but it's not a masterpiece and nobody will call this album a magnum opus. Her time will come though.

    Guts is an amazing album. It shows elements like Pop & Rock. She goes to the rock genre a lot more on this record and it's better and suits her better. It was worth the wait and worth listening to.

    Ele é totalmente diferente de SOUR e não se parece com nenhum álbum visto antes, Olivia Rodrigo mostrou também que é uma compositora de mão cheia, pelo menos em uma das músicas você vai se identificar com a letra.

    spilling facts: GUTS is so much better than SOUR. when I though it would be really hard for her to beat SOUR, she did it & DEVOURED everything and everyone. the Avril Lavigne and 90s/00s vibes are so notorious and I’m living for it because I LOVE it. I was shocked the whole time by the lyrics and production of it. each track is better than the other and OMG her vocals are just perfect,spilling facts: GUTS is so much better than SOUR. when I though it would be really hard for her to beat SOUR, she did it & DEVOURED everything and everyone. the Avril Lavigne and 90s/00s vibes are so notorious and I’m living for it because I LOVE it. I was shocked the whole time by the lyrics and production of it. each track is better than the other and OMG her vocals are just perfect, they improved so much. her voice is a lot more mature and she improved a lot. the whole album is more mature and deeper than SOUR and that’s really impressive. she’s so talented fr… I got chills, she absolutely ate and left no crumbs. the rock/punk influenced songs are amazing and so fun & danceable. the ballads are heartbreaking and so emocional. I mean when this girl starts playing the piano I already know she’s going to make me cry. the production, the lyrics (like OMG OLIVIA IS AN AMAZING COMPOSER), the sonority… everything just mixes and matches perfectly. the first song already got me to heaven and it just gets progressively better. antis will have to be really bitter and pretend a LOT that this album isn’t good because it’s impossible to really think this album is bad. everyone who listened to it knows that, and the real acclaim that the album is receiving just proves what I’m saying. definitely one of or even the best album of the year and one of the biggest pop albums of the decade. definitely deserves the Album Of The Year at the Grammys and it will, for sure, be one of the principal contenders.     songs like making the bed, logical and the grudge are explicitly the best part of this.
    it has no weak points, but it has the least good ones (does not mean they are bad, but among the others it does not stand out)

    The Grudge is easily the best song on this album. Logical and Love is embarrassing are also standouts. And the two released singles are catchy enough (I liked Vampire, Bad Idea Right i didn't like but hearing it everywhere has made it grow on me). So that's five songs out of 12... everything else on the album unfortunately is a skip for me. Too bad, I was hoping for a stronger showing.

    there's clear difference between sour and guts, her lyrics are more mature, her sound is more diverse and she takes more risks overall, I hope she never stops making music she likes and says whatever she wants to say

    First of all you don’t see artist anymore doing it like her. Instead of just releasing another pop ballad album like most artists she went all out and changed the game. All the songs are masterpieces.

    It's got less hits than Sour, so it seems like a less memorable version of that. Go ahead and pass on this album.

    Olivia should find her artistic identity. this album looks like a set of songs rejected by Levine and Gracie Abrams. The lyrics aren't good enough and Sour is better. The vocals are not on point

    This album is pretty different from SOUR, it’s an actual step forward. It’s obviously targeted to teenagers and young adults, but that doesn’t make it bad. The songs feel like they’re from the 2000s and honestly that’s sick!! I like that she took the risk to use a non-mainstream genre to do her sophomore album it really shows that she’s doing what she enjoys and she’s doing it good!!.This album is pretty different from SOUR, it’s an actual step forward.     Honestly, since 'SOUR' I've followed Olivia, because she made an impact on me and a lot of people at the time and will definitely do so with her newest debut 'GUTS'. It is exciting, beautiful and well done.

    This new album is definitely a step forward for Olivia, demonstrating her incredible ability to write, but above all to express emotions, Nigro's production is still the best, the use of each instrument is incredible, and Rodrigo's voice is the perfect complement for those melodies, without a doubt we are in front of the big promise of the music industry.

Yet Rodrigo’s emotional presence is so strong throughout “Guts” — so believable even at its most unrelatable — that you never lose the sense of a specific young person navigating a trial of her own making.
