Decent album. Hesitate and Rollercoaster are masterpieces. Undoubtedly my favourite albums with Overexposed by Maroon 5, Youngblood by 5SOS, and Trench by twenty one pilots.

Great Comeback! If you compare their work now with their work in 2013 it's a 180 degree change. It's a pop album, nothing new. But they had a great impact in 2019

I love Jonas Brothers' comeback singles, "Sucker" and "Cool". Basically, after listening to their whole album, I realized that "Sucker" and "Cool" are the only songs that I like, because they are fun, catchy and they give me summer vibes. "Rollercoaster" is also a good song too. But the remaining tracklist is mediocre and nothing special. I think this is a fine album. Not bad, not good. 6/10

I loved the music video for Sucker it was phenomenal. I loved the outfits, the set, the scenery, and how all of their wives were in the video. The music video for Cool was terrific it was so much fun to watch and I loved the outfits. I loved the outfits, dancing, humor, and 1980's theme of the video for Only Human it was excellent. The album cover and all of the photos were very nicely shot. A longplay that is here to stay for long years. Zesty punches of Only Human and Sucker and wavy notes of Cool or Hesitate are just so good you cant stop listening to this masterpiece.

Happiness Begins is a surprising comeback considering their earlier work. The record starts with Sucker, then follows up with Cool, which was kind of disappointing. What a comeback! This album shows how much the Jonas Brothers evolved individually but also as a band in the past 10 years. You can clearly see the DNCE and Nick Jonas solo music influences but they somehow succeeded in making it very Jonas Brothers! Super fun summer album for keeps. I'll always remember in the future, listening to this emotional rollercoaster in 2019 when I was 14. Sucker, Cool, and Rollercoaster will leave you dancing and laughing and sipping lemonade at the beach with all your friends. Hesitate will find you pouring your eyes out on your bed at midnight at the warm feeling of being cared for by someone you love. ISuper fun summer album for keeps. Hesitate will find you pouring your eyes out on your bed at midnight at the warm feeling of being cared for by someone you love. I have to say, Love Her and Stranger can get repetitive lyrically, and borrowing from another user's review, Love Her does sound quite close to Love Yourself by Justin Bieber. I also wish that they put something like a floaty on the pool in the cover art because it looks very plain. Aside from that, the sheer contentment that radiates from each of the songs shows how far the Jonas Brothers have come from their teenage years on Disney Channel to now, married to their forever lovers, and you cannot help but feel happy with them. Steering away from the pop rock sound they honed during their prime, the Jonas Brothers have finally grown up. Utilizing the sounds of their previous solo endeavors and dipping into the nostalgia pool, the Jonas Brothers have created their most creative and ambitious work since A Little Bit Longer. Though some songs are notably generic, I think the Jonas Brothers were wise to make an album that could really launch their careers into the mainstream market which - though they were one of the biggest bands before the social media boom, they never had any real success with demographics older than their target. The Ryan Tedder produces album makes it Top 40 gold for the band of brothers since their strong and only number 1 hit, Sucker continues to dominate the charts. The Jonas brothers showcase their love for their wives, their relationship with their family, and have fun with their confidence with this album. Stand out tracks would include: Rollercoaster, Hesitate, and Trust which I believe is the trifecta of Jonas Brothers nostalgia, DNCE ballad, and Nick Jonas’ solo career relying on his falsettos. I think it’s best represents who the band is now and it’s more authentic than their previous album Lines, Vines, and Trying Times which though it had many enjoyable songs, I felt like it was their least ambitious project. It’s nice to see that the Jonas Brothers are back and now it seems like they are hear to stay and I’m okay with that. Expand

Pop perfection. Feels euphoric, fresh, and very cohesive. I really enjoyed the sound especially amongst the music we have now. Doesn't sound the same unlike what some other reviews here say. Cohesion doesn't equal sounding the same. Happiness Begins is one of the stronger pop albums of recent times.

An amazing record from the Jonas Brothers after over 10 years, and the anticipation was worth it. The lyrics are honest and craftily penned, the production is fresh and playful, and the general vibe portrays an earnest essence of adulthood without trying too hard in the slightest. Joe and Nick's vocals are immaculate, although I wish there was better distribution of vocals throughout the work-- despite being a bigger fan of Nick's vocals, I would have liked to hear more of Joe; he's improved greatly. I particularly love Only Human, Comeback, Strangers, Every Single Time, I Believe, Trust, and Hesitate, which showcase the brothers' diversity as artists and combine Nick and DNCE's respective works cohesively.
However, the album is not without faults. Love Her falls short amongst the list of classic Jo Bro love songs because it sounds like something we've all heard before. Don't Throw it Away borrows heavily from the iteration of 80s pop inspo and feels awkward on the tracklist after many listens.
I have seen the complaint that there is a heavy focus on the upbeat which border on similar-sounding tunes, but we have to remember that this album is called Happiness Begins-- its purpose is to prompt the audience into a feel-good attitude.
Overall, the Brothers we have always kept in our hearts prove that they're here to stay, and it's hard not to be happy about it. 9/10.

Happiness Begins feels immediate in way so many big pop albums of the twilight of the 2010s do not, but individual tracks are crafted to slide onto as many cross-genre play lists as possible.
