    Buddy's unique style is shown off on this album. This project is perfect "good vibes" music.

    H&A is one of the smoothest hip-hop albums ever released. The production is the highest quality, and the sounds that Buddy and his crew chose mesh perfectly. On top of that, Buddy has incredible hooks on every song and his ability to deliver and switch flows is as good as any top rapper in the game. It's a must-listen album and most likely has a permanent place in my top 10 favorite albumsH&A is one of the smoothest hip-hop albums ever released.     Like YG’s songs, Buddy’s music is full of small homages to the Los Angeles sounds of yesteryear. But while YG is polishing one idea until it shines blindingly, Buddy is crossing generations, building new paths.

    Even sharing a track with current it-man Ty Dolla $ign on the mellow celebration of “Hey Up There,” he’s able to hold his own. Conversely, when he leans into rapping, he achieves an emotive style of delivery that injects his words with extra resonance. Still, Buddy is at his best when he lets himself be carefree.

    2018 is barely halfway through, but Harlan & Alondra will have to be crowbarred out of end-of-year lists come December. An absolute triumph.
