    Demi returns to their musical roots - a stronger, fiercer warrior than before. Zane Lowe really spilled the tea in their latest podcast together which really distinguished what it meant to be a celebrity/public figure and a singer. Truth is, a powerful singer is going to need powerful lyrics and HOLY FVCK really delivered on that aspect. Ending with 4 EVER 4 ME meant a lot to me; for it isDemi returns to their musical roots - a stronger, fiercer warrior than before. Zane Lowe really spilled the tea in their latest podcast together which really distinguished what it meant to be a celebrity/public figure and a singer. Truth is, a powerful singer is going to need powerful lyrics and HOLY FVCK really delivered on that aspect. Ending with 4 EVER 4 ME meant a lot to me; for it is my own song for escapism, reminding me of the innocence of childhood and the hope I had as a young kid, and the healing I needed to go through to be the person I am today. I continue to find myself resonating with Demi’s work, despite the shift in genre, and ultimately, there is nothing more uplifting than to hear the voice of an artist who is free, happy, and comfortable in being able to produce music that is true to who they are. Demi doesn’t need trophies to show how big of a rockstar and talented versatile musician they are.. after all everyone has an opinion and mine is that HOLY FVCK is an impressive body of work that makes me feel seen, and that scars can ultimately heal.… Expand

    A complete masterpiece. This is definitely Lovato's best album to date. Demi has proved that rock and punk is their genre. "COME TOGETHER" and "HAPPY ENDING" are some of the album's strongest points, but I had a hard time defining my favorite tracks; all of them are insane.

    If anything, Holy Fvck proves that maybe it was Lovato’s pop albums that were the fluff, and this is the substance they’ve been looking for.

    Holy Fvck has its flaws – Lovato’s powerful voice is unnecessarily finessed and Auto-Tuned, and 16 tracks is too long. But its gutsy ambition is a thing of substance in and of itself.
