    That was the best album I've ever heard of a Korean artist. like you don't even feel he's Korean because his rap and the way he pronounces words is very cool. I love his lyrics and he wrote them by himself!!! He really did a great job. really love you Hobi. you're a genius!!. wait here for your next album and please eat well and protect yourself in military service. My little legend.

It's a very cool album, it talks about the Rapper's, (J-Hope from BTS), struggle and personal thoughts as he went from a mere street dancer to a global sensation, how he was consumed with the need to achieve more and in turn what it did to his inner self. He also went through many existential crisis in order to differentiate between his on screen and off screen personas, he said that he felt like he had been wearing a mask all alone and in the last few songs made peace with himself. It's an awesome work, I encourage everyone to listen to this album and read the lyrics!… Expand

    Jack in the Box is nothing close to the K-Pop genre; it was more of a collective of sounds and samples that only j-hope could breathe life into. While listening to JITB, I feel like I was going back to my childhood. It gave me such nostalgia. I had goosebumps. Plus, the artistry and the versatility of this album earned a chunk of my respect to j-hope as a soloist and a musician.

    He is such a wild cardー an aceー to the music industry, because j-hope before a rapper/producer and songwriter is a dancer who was born through dance and the music that plays on the street. Such a breather this album is.

    Additional to that is that the lyrics here are all controversial. Yet still very humble and kind at same time. It is also so raw and so open, it scared me a little because JITB shows me a side of j-hope that is not an idol, but a human in his most vulnerable and innocent form.

The theme "jack in the box" fits so well with the artists but was also unexpected which gave the element of surprise. Hope World was bright and colorful and fun in first sight, but reading the lyrics and understanding the song would make you realize that it's actually more scary. Jack in the box is scary, dark but colorful, and showcased his craziness but really it's a confession and expression of the real person inside him. The track "equal sign" touched people's hearts and is fans favorite for a reason.… Expand

    A friend sent me a digital of his album and i must say, its fantastic! The pandoras box segment was refreshing. There are tracks that make me wanna bang my head in beat, and there are those which make me sway and sing eventhough i dont know a single korean to save my soul. Jhope is an amazing artists to be sure.

    JITB is a phenomenal and seamless piece of story telling through music. The nature of each track on the album to take you through a defining picture of J-Hope's feelings, emotions, and experiences relating to his artistry and 10 year old career is refreshing. It is impossible to listen to this album on shuffle due to this storytelling method. Not many artists can put together an album this cohesive, with song after song blowing your mind away with not only production quality and musicality but the raw, deep lyrics that show us a side of J-Hope we seldom see. My favourite part of the album is the safety zone - future - arson run towards the end of Jack In The Box. Just the way an actual jack in the box draws you into a false sense of security with the calming music before the puppet pops out, the three song run towards the end does the same. Going from high power energetic songs in the beginning of the album to relatively slower songs and an eerie yet oddly calming interlude with music box reflection replicates that effect, with arson being the puppet that jumps out. 10/10 an amazing work of music… Expand

    THE BEST album hands down. I love all the solo stuff of all the members but JITB to me is hands down a masterpiece. Don’t listen to the fake reviews and listen to it for yourself. Listen from top to bottom and you’re not gonna regret it.
