Kanye and Cudi go so well together on this album and the features on this are great with Pusha T having a great verse at the start of the album Ty Dolla $ign singing great on Freeee and the final track on this album Cudi montage is probably my favourite song of all time it only goes for 23 mins with 7 tracks on it being all killer no filler so im feeling a fat juicy 10 on this one

This album is not just a success for hip-hop, but indeed for the wider music world. With wonderful production and personal yet joyous hooks, this project will go down in the history books as how two amazing artists blended their unique sounds into a melodic masterpiece.

Hands down one of the best albums of the year. This album is way better than Ye and it shows why Kanye is know as one of the most gifted artists in hip hop. This is the best collab album since Run the Jewels and it might be even better. It shows that collab albums can indeed work today even with the failures and mediocre attempts we've been seeing (Drake & Future, Nav & Metro Boomin, Young Thug & Future). I expected this to be WAY more organized than Ye and it definitely is. It's obvious they've been working on this for some time. The production is some of the best this year along with 'Daytona' and Saba's 'Care for Me'. I just can''t understand why Kanye didn't want Ye to flow like this album because he definitely could have if he wanted to. He most likely scrapped the album that flowed for a more erratic and harsh album to reflect his mental state. Ye is not bad and it's an above average album but this is a GREAT album! If this group sticks around, they can really leave a major mark in rap history. Well done, KSG. Expand

If Ye didn't give you the chills you felt you needed with his solo album, this will certainly do the job. As far as I'm concerned, Kanye West is 3/3 with his 2018 G.O.O.D. Fridays approach rolling out an album every Friday. Amazing, haunting, and most of all, important to Hip-Hop. This was an album a fan of Kanye and Kid Cudi have wanted since 2008.

KSG starts off sort of manic and all over the place, but is done so in such a way where everything feels like it is there for a reason. KSG then transitions into some of the most vibey, chill tracks I have ever heard, with very hopeful and uplifting themes. There is probably a song on here for everyone, despite it being only 7 songs and only 24 minutes long.

I created an account just so I could leave a review for this extraordinary album. KSG is in a genre of its own.

Kids See Ghost is one of the most forward thinking and unique albums I've heard. Kanye and Cudi go all out, mixing powerful drums with driving guitar, beautiful yet gritty vocals and great bars. Despite being only 23 minutes long, the listening experience is the same as listening to a 40-minute album. "It feels longer than it is" might sound like something negative, but in this case it's not because I want more of this album.
I honestly only have one problem with the music on this album. That problem is so tiny that it's almost non-existant, but there is one second or so on the album where the auto-tune on Cudi's voice doesn't quite fit. But it's just a slight waver and is overshadowed by the rest of the album's greatness.
Kanye's wild adlibs on Feel The Love over those heavy drums are super cool and energetic.
The wind chimes on Fire are great and I love Cudi's chorus.
4th Dimension is a straight up banger and the bars are tight.
Freeee is a psychedelic, beautiful and epic song.
Reborn is lovely and Cudi's singing is great.
Kids see ghosts is low-key but still energetic and Kanye's verse is insane.
Cudi Montage is the closest thing I've had to a religious experience. When Kanye comes in with those vocals at the end with Cudi; "Lord shine your light on me, save me please. STAY STRONG" that hits me right in my heart.

The influx of Kanye and his ear for production has been outstanding and this is no exception. This truly is a roller coaster ride and suits both of them perfectly through this short project. All of the tracks are very well produced. None of them felt rushed like some tracks on Ye. The only real issue with this album is the length.

Even though the lengh is about the same as Ye and Daytona, it felt much shorter. This album is easier to listen to. This is the more radio-friendly album.

I can see all seven tracks on this album being Top 100 on the billboard and also, I feel like this album would be a safe pick to get nominated for a Grammy. It's more of a pop-rap album.

Even though Ye is on the album, you might leave the album feeling like it's a Cudi album rather than a collaboration album. The only song that truly feels like a collaboration song is Ghost Town, part 2.

I give this album a light 8. I suggest adding this album to a playlist with the album Ye and listen to them as one album. If you're a Cudi fan, then you'll enjoy this album a lot. This project sounds similar to Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'.

But unfortunately, the album overall is missing lyricism and subject matter. We're getting more of Ye's perspective rather than Cudi's even though they are both very present on this project. I love the sampling (Kurt Cobain's strings on Cudi's montage in particular) but I expected a classic when two huge influencers match heads. For some reason when two superstars decide to make a studio album together there's something always missing (WATTBA, Huncho Jack, etc.). I am repeating 4 out of the seven songs (Reborn, Cudi Montage, Ghost Town Pt.2 and Kids See Ghosts). The productions alone make the album worth listening to, but it's Cudi's painful and inspiring vocals mixed with Ye's moments of political consciousness that adds enough oomph to make it a decent project. I give it a 7/10 Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a massive Kid Cudi fan and I'm a huge Kanye fan. This was the album I was most excited for and this is the album I was most let down with. There are some terrible songs on this albums moments that feature the worst qualities of each artist. Cudi is sometimes not even trying or just mumbling, Kanye quite often is just yelling or screaming. Three songs here are barely listenable.

The other good songs on the album do have creative moments are feature very personal lyrics; especially regarding Cudi's recovery. But even the strong songs on this album don't crack either artists top ten best songs. The best songs on this album are underwhelming.

I just wanted more. I hoped with a seven song album each song would be amazing.

Here we get elements from Man on The Moon 1 & 2, PP&DS and even what Cudi tried to achieve on his bomb Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven). His singing is on top form here.

Kanye's rapping is hungry, with great bars (especially on 'Kids See Ghosts' and 'Cudi Montage'), and his singing is great too (especially his second line on the track 'Freeee (Ghost Town Pt. 2)'. His production here is unparalleled, with fantastic samples ranging from Louis Prima to Kurt Cobain. All uncredited features provide an enhanced experience (Mr. Hudson, Ty Dolla $ign, Pusha T and Mos Def). With help from the usual suspects (Mike Dean, Plain Pat) but also some surprises (Andre 3000), the sonics of this album are immersive, bold and unique.

This record is the first of it's kind, proving that Kanye is still one of the top inventors of genres, and one of the best artists of all time. My favourite tracks are 'Reborn' (I love the repetition of "keep moving forward"), 'Feel the Love', 'Kids See Ghosts'... and honestly every other track. I love the instrumental break in the track 'Fire'. In fact, the instrumentation on this whole project is so dense throughout, and Ty Dolla $ign's vocal mix on 'Freeee' is breathtaking.

The final track 'Cudi Montage' is stunning - the repetition of the final lines "Lord, shine your light on me, save me please" is so beautiful. Takashimi's artwork is stunning too, and dare I say I prefer it too that of his work on the 'Graduation' cover? I genuinely am struggling to think of any negatives... I just hope we get a sequel, and this doesn't fade away like West's former rap group Child Rebel Soldier.

Overall, this album is one of the best, if not the best, albums of the year. This project brings closure to any beef that Ye and Cudi previously had, as well as helping to bring closure to any mental health issues which they are both battling. The future is very bright. 10/10.

Following the disappointment that was the previous GOOD Music release of the summer, Kanye West's seventh studio album, 'Ye,' I was a bit weary when approaching 'Kids See Ghosts.' Adding onto this weariness was the fact that Kid Cudi's last few albums, beginning with 2013's 'Indicud,' had been, in no short order, mediocre. 2016's "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' was a welcome return to form, but I feel Cudi did not tread any ground he'd not already tread before. That being said, the grandeur of the first GOOD Music release of the summer, Pusha-T's 'Daytona', gave me reason to hope for positive results going into this new album. I'm glad to say I was not disappointed whatsoever. Two things: 1. I've always been a fan of Cudi's delivery, but I felt his music suffered from a lack of quality production; and 2. I think I'm in the majority when I state my belief that Kanye West is the best producer our generation knows. The combination of those two factors allows for the two to play off of each other's strengths, and deliver one of the most fantastically enjoyable albums of the year so far. The album has a sort of psychedelic, neurotic edge; this is abetted by the use of things like guitar samples, including one from a performance of 'Burn the Rain' by Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Rap and guitar are definitely a hit-or-miss combination - when done wrong, the results are mega-level disastrous. When done right, however, we get masterpieces like Kendrick Lamar's 'King Kunta'. Kanye and Cudi definitely get it right on 'Kids See Ghosts.' The backing tracks are fierce, loud, and powerful - a factor I feel Kanye's previous project, 'Ye,' suffered from a lack of. Lyrically, the album is also much less superficial than 'Ye.' Kid Cudi's struggles with mental illness are well-documented; in 2016, he disclosed that he had checked himself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges. He has been no stranger to discussing these issues in his music as well, something I feel sets him apart from other rappers in an age where mental illness is only just now beginning to shed its stigma. He touches on these issues on 'Kids See Ghosts,' quelling fears that the presence of two major artists on one album would cause for a lack of personal themes and lyrical meaning. Kanye still trends toward the topics he covered on 'Ye' - his public image in the wake of recent scandals, and all the like - but gone are the cheesiness, the superficiality and the seemingly rushed songwriting that plagued him on 'Ye'. Likewise, Cudi sounds the most powerful and crisp he's been since 2011's 'Man on the Moon II.' Overall, 'Kids See Ghosts' is a magnum opus in the realm of 2018's music releases so far, as well as in the career of both artists involved. In a sense, the presence of two minds allows for the listener to more clearly see and personally understand both - leaving hope that Kids See Ghosts will return with a new project much sooner rather than later. Kanye and Cudi did it, they've made the album of the year. Every song hits hard with both spilling out their feelings and moving forward in life. This was beautiful, very beautiful. You get bangers, heart-filled, and motivational tracks. A work of art.

Simplemente fantastico. I swear this might honestly one of Kanye’s best collaboration not for the fact it’s mostly cudi that steals the show but the fact it shows that both rappers/singers are still staying true to the game after all this time!!!

From the 1st track itself, i knew its gonna be so good. The beats are very memorable, sampling at its best. The duo itself feels so complete when they're at it together. It's instrumentally complete and the verses seem to fit in perfectly. Definitely one of Kanye's best works and is my best album of 2018.

Hands down my favourite album of 2018, this collaboration between Kanye West and Kid Cudi ticks all the boxes: amazing production by Kanye West (with some strange, but somehow fitting samples), great guest contributions, verses that touch on personal subjects and flow amazingly over the beats.

Favourite tracks: FEEL THE LOVE, FIRE, 4TH DIMENSION, FREEEE, REBORN, KIDS SEE GHOSTS, CUDI MONTAGE

I was worried that Kanye seemed to be taking on many projects at once, as well as the fact that the two artists had shared a once complicated history, not to mention that Kanye had seemed to be very erratic during the months leading up to the release of KSG. I was completely wrong.

Kids See Ghosts is some of Kanye and Kid Cudi's premier work. The project speaks on the rebirth of the artists and coming to peace with themselves and the world after many struggles, including mental illness, which Kanye seems to embrace. The production of KSG is some of the best to ever see the light on this planet, with ups of hard brash drums and Kanye screaming "Grrrat-gat-gat-gat-gat" on "Feel The Love" and lows of Cudi's soft melodic humming with a chill and laidback feel on "Reborn". The two bring a loving, psychedelic feel, looking back at their past mistakes and suffering. On "Fire", Cudi speaks on his past pain, saying "It's so many days I prayed to God
All this pain, I couldn't seem to find a way", later stating that his pain is "scars I left behind".

KSG is ambitious in every sense of the word, looking at breaking stereotypes and shattering confinement and restraint. Kanye sampling Louis Prima’s “What Will Santa Claus Say” on "4th Dimension" is a perfect example of Kanye doing exactly what no other artist in his position would do, yet he pulls it off perfectly, embracing experimenting and not being shy to go outside of his comfort zone is exactly what makes this album so great. Kanye and Cudi break out of the ever-repeating shell of stagnation and take a look back at their past endeavours, all of the pain and struggle, and that's exactly where the pain stays, the past, as Kanye and Cudi use KSG as an outlet to let out frustration and transform it into something else, looking forward to the future of peace and tranquillity within themselves.

First four songs are a mix of great energy and fantastic vocals and great instrumentals. However, all the good things from the first four songs die down on the last 4 songs as it's much slower and has so-so beats which brings out Kanye's and Cudi's ok rhymes

I did enjoy this album and I feel it didn't get the recognition it deserved. I find it's very easy to listen to except for the track "freee (ghost town pt. 2)." Another song I didn't enjoy as much was "Cudi montage" I honestly couldn't tell what cudi was saying. other than that It's an album very different from what we hear on the radio and I loved that

Lyrics are deep, introspective and truly interesting. Kanye and Cudi eventually get closer again and appear to form one of the most iconic duos as they both grew up since their first common chapters. This project testify the fact that they both are hurt and in a healing process. They reunite for the best and don't hesitate to compliment each other and they are mutually enriched by their personal experiences. Their respective verses strangely and perfectly match each other especially accompanied by Cudi's legendary hummings. However the project also goes in weird directions as Kanye usually takes (as in 'Feel the Love' and in '4th Dimension'), making some moments quite disharmonious but not devoid of profound meaning. In conclusion this project is almost perfect to me: catchy, well-produced, original lyrics, some crescendos, interesting guests and appearances and an atmosphere never seen elsewhere. Expand

Even the artwork of this album, which is inspired by the thirty-six views of mount fuji, is astonishing. This album communicates to you on so many levels that it's just difficult to explain.

The album explores ideas of mental health but it addresses it in a way that tells you Kanye West and Kid Cudi are listening to your problems and that is one of the key values about this album while the others are all about feeling as if it's okay to be lonely. This album has been helping me cope with times that are hard, not because I'm depressed or anything, but there's something in it that makes you rise up and shine. That second song, "Fire" is an example of this.

Sometimes, I feel like the ghost on the cover standing on-top of that other ghost with his arms crossed, watching the world go mad underneath me while I listen to this album. I can replay it many times and not get bored of it. This is an album that is the definition of true music. There is even a video on YouTube where a son and his dad review the album together and the two bond over the messages and brilliance of this album. If this isn't music to you, then I really don't know what is

The album gives you enough space to digest its tough topics, on mental health and expressing themselves, by a cleaver use of contrasting slower moments in the album. This helps the dense and high energy tracks feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable while helping the listener focus on the overarching themes. This is my personal favourite album due to the hypnotic beat creation by Kanye and the out of the world performance by Kid Cudi with his spacey humming and singing. So many highlights in this album and I am glad they gave such a refined performance, I fear they would have lost this powerful moment if more tracks were added . The only song I believe isn't as enjoyable is 'Kids See Ghosts' though this song adds to the album point and intern is needed to help it feel like a complete project. This masterpiece matches the amazing album art of ghost like figures floating in this abyss of colour showing there's beauty in the suffering. Expand

This is one of the greatest albums I’ve ever heard. Every track gives you different feelings, from the first track making you excited to hear the rest of the album by yelling and teasing sounds that they’ll use during the rest of the album. Fire, the second track has great production and lines, as does every track. It’s a little slower paced than the other songs, and it’s great. The next song is my personal favorite. 4th dimension has amazing lines and flow from Kanye and Cudi. My personal favorite part about the song is the incredible production and sample. It really sounds like what you would think that an album called “Kids See Ghosts” would sound. Freeee is the next track, also being the sequel to a song from an album Kanye released earlier that year titled “Ghost town”. I won’t write a whole review about that song, but if you listen to them back to back you can tell that it supports that song very well. The song also sounds amazing, as does every other song. I love Cudi’s vocals, as well as Kanye’s. Reborn is obviously very different from the rest of the songs. It’s a sentimental r&b song mostly sung by Cudi. His parts are great as well as Kanye’s verse. The song is emotional, and it’s one of my favorites from the album. The next track is the title track. From the moment it starts you will immediately love the psychedelic beat they used, as well as the rapping from both of them. It’s nonstop bars from Kanye and Cudi as well as stops for singing from Cudi and they are all great. The last track is crudo montage. This is an amazing song. This song is mostly rapping. The instrumental is also great for the whole song. TLDR: please listen to this album, for your own good. It’s amazing. Expand
