Critics who labelled this album "unfocused" are missing the point. The melodies are catchy and the instrumentation is skillful; but, most importantly, the music is fun and, at times, poignant. Warm, summery, enjoyable album.

Their best record yet. Bloody indispensible!

Outstanding depth and variety from a great band. They're unfairly pigeonholed as simply a "cheeky pop band." They've really matured since "I Should Coco" and it shows in this, their 4th studio album.

Welcome back Sup'Gras!Chock full of big chunky hooks, globs of glimmery glam chops, and soaring spirit in the sky-high hopes. Not perfect, but close enough....

  1. Taking a large step in expanding its lexicon, the group, singer Gaz Coombes in particular, has tightened up its songwriting and come up with tunes that rival the band’s first hit "Caught By The Fuzz."
  2. Supergrass' lack of commitment can get wearisome, and Life suffers without a guiding sense of personality, a point of view.
  3. A juvenile cluster bomb of goofy guitar shenanigans.
