Madame X is the record Madonna needed to make. Although she did use Auto-tune that little too much, but, i Like it and it just adds to the album. Songs like God Control and Extreme Occident prove that Madonna can make powerful political statements that should be quotable in today's world. Well Done!

Best Songs: Batuka, I Don't Search I Find, God Control, Extreme Occident, I Rise,

It's easily her best album since Hard Candy. Although the lead single wasn’t good enough, most of the album brings some great compositions and catchy songs, like Madonna always did. So glad to see that she is back after two forgettable albums.

"Madame X" is so much better than her latest efforts. Madonna's latest album is bizarre and interesting. Some choices may seem odd but in the end, everything feels coherent with the theme and her alter-ego's background story. The tour was amazing too and is complementary to this work of art, check it out!

Saddly Madonna is banned from radio play and the album flopped. But listening to it in the Madame X tour was a delight!

"Medellin" is an okay track, with really odd, but quite cool production choices. Chorus could've been longer, because it feels a little bit short. But the second half of the song presents Tchaikovsky's piano ballad with Madonna's distorted vocals - you can get used to it after some time, but it would be really nice to hear the song with that experimental part. Another track is even more experimental with many sections. "God Control" starts with Madonna mummbling, and it continues with church choir transforming into hi-NRG dance track. Maybe with too much auto-tune, but you can really groove to this! And Madonna's delivery is really cool and fitting. "Future" didn't clicked to me at the begining, but now it's one of the album tracks I enjoy the most. Production here is really great.
"Batuka" didn't click with me for the first listen too, but I started grooving to it with time. However I can say that this song is very flawed, not only it feels inconsistent, but Madonna's vocals are so so bad here. She really should stop using/reduce usage of auto-tune. "Killers Who Are Partying" is a fine composition, usage of Portugese is really nice.
"Crave" got me immedietly. A trap-pop ballad with really cool vocals slayed by both Madonna and Swae Lee. The lyrics are lovely too. "Crazy" and "Come Alive" are a little bit slower compared to the rest of the album, but faster than "Crave". However both of them contain the kick, and they're nice to listen to. "Crazy" has some Spanish lyrics which always fit Madonna, while "Come Alive" ends nicely with a choir. "Extreme Occident" is really fascinating track which is kinda splitted into two parts. I love how the bridge kicks in!
Another track that I didn't vibe to at first listen - "Faz Gostoso" - is a nice dance song. However it has one major flaw - Madonna sounds here so ugly...and that kinda festival-y bridge doesn't connect with the rest of the song much and it's kinda out-of-place -- I'm glad it's that short. **** I'm Loca" it's a passable effort. It'd be cool if it's spoken outro didn't exist, it's kinda embarassing. "I Don't Search I Find" is the closest thing on this album to be called an "album filler" with it's disposable nature. However this disco tune is really nice to vibe too. "Looking for Mercy" is really nice retrospective track with lush production. Album closer, "I Rise", is an anthem, production and vocals are here on point, with explosive outro, that's what we need!
It's really nice offering. Madonna simply serves a role of this kind of experimental artist that doesn't need to have a hits right now, even though "Crave" or "I Rise" could've been easily big with proper promotion and hype. They are also my most favorite tracks of the album, with "Future" and "Extreme Occident". Definitely this record is not for everyone, due to it's artsy, experimental nature - but if you're into that stuff you might really enjoy it.

A weird, raw, wild, viceral & overproduced album. A classic. Madonna presents Madame X as an extention of her different personas, each one reflected on each song. We can hear Madonna, the human, exposing her rarest thoughts and her weird vision of justice from her rich position.

Madonna remains the great entrepreneur, playing tough, still making her own (right?) business moves and kudos to her for all that - but ever since "Music", her records are mostly a let down; adding to it the unbearable presence of auto-tune, it is just beyond comprehension how a human ear can ever cope listening to anyone filtering through one such utterly dreadful effect.

Madonna comes back as inspired as she was in the early 2000s, working with polarising producer Mirwais.

After three consecutive failures with her past albums, Madame X is a new hope for Madonna's legacy with iconic songs like God Control and showing us a new skill with songs in portuguese like Faz Gostoso and Crazy.

It's very...experimental, and Madonna put definitely too much auto-tune on her vocals...
For normal, casual listeners the best choices from this album would probably be "Crave" and "Crazy", because from of all of this album they sound the most normal.

If Madonna calls herself 'Queen', no one can ever deny. How can a musican still produce such an excellent work and reach great achievement.

What a masterpiece. She’s the Queen of Pop for a reason. "Madame X" was a true return to form for Madonna after two trashy, dated, trend chasing albums ("Hard Candy" & "MDNA") and the good but way too long and a bit uninspired "Rebel Heart". This album is exactly what you want from a Madonna album and I didn’t think that she would ever serve us a gem like this. It’s creative, innovative, and experimental. It addressed serious issues such as gun violence ("God Control") but also has Dance bops that Madonna is known for ("I Don’t Search I Find"). It’s also her most diverse work in ages as it incorporates elements of latin music, reggaeton, trap, dancehall, EDM, deep house etc. and Madonna sings in three languages on the album (English, Spanish & Portuguese). Thanks for making new music. If new generations compare the old music with theirs then they will realize that new music comes from the old and has lost its meaning just for reaching the charts. Anyways only a couple has more than her 12 number ones and no female artist has sold more than Madonna.
This album is an elegant snap in the face not searching charts but by exploring new horizons

Madonna has brought a pop that is of the past, but it fit the current pop. That's a surprising detail, she took every inch of the world and saw something amazing she got along with all the parts. The album is certainly one of her best.

The most experimental album of her entire career, maybe it's the next Ray of Light, all the sounds are unique in every way, but the collabs with Maluma it's just not my cup of tea, but everything else is a pure masterpiece.

The truly bizarre element is that it manages to instantly sound current and progressive, organic and futuristic, filled with many possible singles while being a musical beast with a character completely of its own. A genuine artistic achievement on Madonna’s behalf that will have you feel connected with it in ways utterly unseen since 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor. In doing so this far in Madonna’s career, it manages to surpass even that iconic album in terms of bravery, authenticity and impact. Thus, sit back and enjoy. Experimental music is something that appears more and more nowadays. This is one of experimental masterpieces by a mainstream singer. As typical for Madonna, her style and image changes all the time, and this is one of very brave and really interesting changes.

The pace plods on some mid-tempo tracks, but overall this is a personal, politically-charged mix of dark thoughts and good vibes. [Aug 2019, p.88]

Overall, Madonna’s fourteenth album Madame X feels as if Mirwais had mostly completed a decent run-of-the-mill modern pop record, albeit with a cool hotch-potch global feel; hip nods in place to fado, dub and other micro-genres dunked amongst the trap and retro disco. But then just before sign-off, Herself went through the top-lines with a sharpie. ... None of these carefully curated flourishes feel as if they truly live inside the ‘whole’ of this music. Instead it all feels plonked on top of a template.

Madonna has created this music for an audience of one: Herself. Often it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.
