One of the best and most unique hip hop albums in the whole history. He has a unique flow, really good beat selection, and amazing, unrepeatable lyrics. MF DOOM and his album are definitely in my top 10 list of all time.

Entering the new installment of Doom and i felt instantly irritated. Honestly, who wasn't waiting for that intro to end!.. And why should I have to FFW. past it! That's the danger of long intro yeh?? If you claim to be bouncing to this...If you really think the lyrics are the bomb.. you definately need to read more! Poorly executed rhymes and awkward production left me reaallly hungry..

Here in Holland everybody listens to the same 'ol commercial crapheap who r all "on top o tha game'. I'm glad that there are still rappers like doom who don't rhyme about all the superviscial stuff like "rollin on 22"" and all that type of shit. Doom made it overseazz and for an underground rapper that's some big shit..

I think MF Doom's album is the best I've heard in a long time. As far as I'm concerned he is one of the few that still represents the true essence of what hip-hop is all about: raw, rugged, and still with that hungry artist in the basement feel. Plus I'm a child of the 70's, so I'm digging the samples he uses from the old Marvel and Filmation cartoons. As a I think MF Doom's album is the best I've heard in a long time. DOOM's best next to Madvillainy, everything on here is top notch. The goofy beats are at the same time hilarious and incredibly well executed. All of the samples are well thought out and hilarious as well. DOOM's lyrics are strong as ever, though definitely not his strongest. One of my personal favorites, I come back to this album frequently.

Doom really had a year in 2004, this in addition to Madvillainy... both amazing projects. I loved the concept of this album, where every song title ties in to some sort of food item, and all the food puns in the tracks, especially in "Beef Rap". Great album, great writing, puns, deliveries, skits that actually were interesting, although there is a lot, and great production.

A classic without a doubt. And one of the most unique albums of all time. Unfortunately don't put this as high on a pedestal as others though. If he integrated these skits into the tracks themselves i wouldn't have a problem with it, but from Poo-Putt toA classic without a doubt. And one of the most unique albums of all time. Luckily with Fig Leaf it picks up and the rest of the album is great.

But of course can't ignore the splendid lyricism DOOM is known for. It's all over this album and as always it never fails to impress me. Most beats on here and excellent with most being made by Metal Fingers himself. The use of samples as always is really satisfying. Features on here are all great as well, you can never go wrong with a Count Bass. D or Mr. Fantastik feature.

Overall, really great album. A classic for sure and a great introduction for people who want to get into MF DOOM.

Some of DOOM's best work on display here, top tier lyricism and some really catchy tracks, in comparison to what is considered his best work, "Madvillainy", it probably has higher highs, but lacks in the consistent brilliance of its predecessor. Still absolute gold, though.

  1. If Mm..Food? feels merely good or somewhat inconsequential, it's because it is that way by design.
  2. In the end, most of the songs on MM..Food? are of typical Doom quality (for the uninitiated, that means â??excellentâ?), but the album is severely bogged down both by a few duds and by a trio of interludes in the middle of the album.
  3. Half of the fun with Dumile has always been the unexpected, ridiculous sampling and the storyline he develops around it. MMâ?¦Food seems unable to capture this element. Doom manages to drop a few great songs, but as an album, MMâ?¦Food falls flat.
