    Dan Auerbach's influence is felt firmly throughout the album, but where the album really shines is when it cuts loose from the formulas and you get a glimpse at some unique potential that perhaps isn't quite fully realized.

    This is a Powerful, mesmerizing and even groovy album. Hanni is like a good wine, he has got a particular taste and character that gets better from one album to the next.

    Mr. El Khatib’s garage rock has never been completely faithful to tradition, but it has also never been this loose or appealing. Moonlight is his third album, and also his most convincing, finding a middle ground between the competing excesses of his first two.
