Charlie Puth tries to sell you his debut "album" that, when talking about things put together well, contains nothing but a few mediocre cadences and vocal takes.

FAV TRACK: We Don't Talk Anymore
LEAST FAV TRACK: Left Right Left

We have to be frank and say that this album has more downfalls than hits. The melodies are not as attractive enough as the lyrics, and Charlie is stuck in the simple, reaching the boring. Songs like "We Don't Talk Anymore" and "See You Again" add a touch of quality, but they don't save the album as a whole.

Puth's vocal habilities and lyric composition should be recognized in all terms. Nine Track Mind is a project full of powerful balads that make us truly get to know the artist behind them, which is so important.

It's the right artist in the wrong moment. There are plenty male performers singing about romantic proposals already and Charlie's are not more mature. Highlights are Losing My Mind, One Call Away and We Don't Talk Anymore. Everything else, including hits See You Again and Marvin Gaye (well, you gotta have a hit, right? This album is mediocre, boring and bland. I like "One Call Away" and that's it. This album lacks creativity and consistency. All songs sound boring and they are nothing new. A lame album. No good quality in it.

I love Charlie and some of the songs are good, but the rest are repetitive and boring.

“I liked Nine Track Mind a lot more than I thought I would. There are actually some really good songs on this album, such as We Don’t Talk Anymore, Does It Feel and My Gospel, to name a few. Of course, as in Charlie Puth’s other album, Voicenotes, a lot of the songs sound the same. That being said, Nine Track Mind is not a terrible album, even if some people think that it is. Highlights: Dangerously, We Don’t Talk Anymore, My Gospel, Up All Night, Left Right Left, and Does It Feel.”

I re-reviewed Voicenotes because it was the first album I had reviewed, and it was a couple months before I started doing this more. Because Nine Track Mind was the only other Puth album (besides the hidden Ego), I decided to re-review this album as well. In fact, I was even more disappointed the second time around. This is true that there are definitely songs in Nine Track Mind that I enjoyed, but living with those great songs are Nothing But Trouble and Suffer (and Marvin Gaye, and Losing My Mind, and As You Are), which were horrid songs. Suffer was actually bad and I didn’t really like Marvin Gaye (the song, not the singer) because it felt like Puth made a song out of one that Gaye had already made. I’m fine if songs reference other songs, but they should not be based on one another; where’s the creativity in that? Anyway, there were quite a few songs that I liked more the second time around, but it sadly just wasn’t enough for me to call Nine Track Mind a good album. Highlights: One Call Away, Dangerously, We Don’t Talk Anymore, My Gospel, Up All Night, Left Right Left, The There’s You, and Does It Feel.

Excelentes temas , el álbum le faltó poder por algunos temas que no van con el álbum , temas como One Call Away, Dangerously, We Don't Talk anymore,Suffer, Then there's you son temas que hace que valga la pena. Pero otros temas como Left Right left, my gospel, son temas que desvían mucho el álbum

This album is actually good, you guys dislike him only because he writes about love, not about sex or explicit things. I am not really a fan, but this much hate to an album is unfair, so I'm boosting the ratings.

The album has great songs and Charlie with impeccable vocals. Although, there remains a vague space on his album that lacks the essence in each of his songs. His compositions are felt. Evolution better it all, he's a huge artist!

This isn't the best album Chalrie Puth can create but it still owns songs that reflects about love and some pure bits over the past years. 'Ego' was much better because it was more diverse.

Es claro que Charlie tiene talento, pero esto es simplemente tedioso y aburrido. Si tuviera que describir el álbum en una palabra sería MONÓTONO.

Charlie é talentoso mas impressiona com esse álbum catastrófico e cacofônico. As únicas músicas que valem perder o seu tempo são "See You Again" e "We Don't Talk Anymore".

I like the songs and I sing along whenever they're playing, but, with the exception of one call away and marvin gayne, they're pretty forgettable, and they all sound pretty similar and generic.

Charlie Puth is clearly a talented artist, he has a great voice, however he sacrificed his talent in order to make boring, repetitive and forgettable romantic ballads. It doesn't seem like the type of album Puth wanted to make, and it's not the album we wanted him to make either.
Favourite Tracks: Marvin Gaye, We Don't Talk Anymore
Least Favourite Tracks: Losing My Mind, My Gospel, Left

Charlie has pushed the bar up on how generic and boring an album can be. This album has not one standout. There were a few ok songs but most of them were so bad that I wanted a refund on the album. It is so cheesy and frankly boring. You can tell he wanted to be like Ed or Taylor here but he could not achieve the emotion of love like they do.

I love the album! But why does it have negative reviews? Favorite songs off the album are: "Dangerously", "Left Right Left", "One Call Away", and "Suffer". Can't wait for "Voicenotes."

Charlie Puth's showy debut has no substance, and is nothing compared to other debuts we've seen by the likes of ZAYN and John Bellion. There is no other word to describe charlie's debut but Horrible, because that is exactly what it is. Heartless, pop candy with endless flourishes. All the songs are extremelly bland and generic, making for an empty collection of "songs". Generic. This album is nothing to remember. Give it 10 years, no one will remember it. The one good song on this album is the one with Selena Gomez even if its just a whole load of autotune.

Good voice doesn't necessarily mean good songs. Unfortunately not a lot of stuff here feels original, and a lot of the songs sound almost the same. Doesn't hook enough for a second listen.

It doesn’t help that Nine Track Mind is all ballads except for three tracks, two of which are duets (Trainor, a sleepy Selena Gomez) that somehow still feel like ballads. Puth cannot fill this frame of sentimentality with any genuine sentiment.

There are flashes of something special on Suffer, and the surprisingly sultry Selena Gomez collaboration We Don’t Talk Anymore, but in general, Puth’s anonymity is infuriating.
