Like Oskar, Otto luxuriates in tiny, clicking blip-beats with a sense of sythn orchestration. [#68, p.102]
  2. It shakes the foundations of our music-consuming habits and plays with our genre expectations; it fucks with our minds a bit, just for kicks, and, more importantly, liberates us from the pernicious tyranny of monotony.
  3. Otto Spooky is an excellent album, yet sometimes too long for my attention span.
  4. Otto Spooky is designed not so much to be enjoyed as to be a spectacle.
  5. It's kind of a whopper to digest all at once, but if you've heard Momus before and liked him, you're not going to go wrong here.
  6. In the final analysis, these must be considered folk songs, though I honestly can't say they wouldn't be better or couldn't be sung and arranged in a more accessible, more openly musical forum.
