Mar 20, 2020Fire. Amazing flow and lyricism. Very entertaining. One of the best albums of 2019.

Jul 28, 2019This is a really solid listen. There is just something about it that holds it back to me, but it has some really good lyrics and great production.

May 9, 2019What confuses me the most about this album is where all this pent-up potential came from after years of rapping and making music. Despite the sudden artistic shift, "Rap or Go to the League" is a coherent, entertaining rap release. It introduces an artful yet interesting side to 2 Chainz' psyche.

Mar 9, 2019Simply put, this is the best rap album i have heard this year. In the song Threat 2 Society, 2 Chainz talks about how he never gets the credit he deserves. I agree with him. He has come a long way from his days of New Playaz Circle. This album is currently the best rap album I have heard this year and it has rekindled my interest in his music. Good stuff

Mar 8, 2019The eccentric Southern rapper 2 Chainz drops a mixed attempt at a mature album.

May 24, 2019His artistic ambition still lags behind profit objective and pursuit of happiness, but he also manages to be the kind of wordsmith that doesn’t have to spell everything out for you. But when he does, he gives a fairly balanced overview of the subject, see his thoughts on taxes in “Sam”. There’s still a cunning street edge to Chainz twelve years after “Supply & Demand”.

May 2, 2019Rap or Go to the League is a step forward in 2 Chainz's artistry, and reveals sides of his personality that were previously harder to see in the shadow of his enormous persona.

Mar 14, 2019While Chainz’s level of authenticity remains intact throughout the album’s duration, the commercial ambitions of its third quarter give way to a lapse of quality.
