A very good follow up to his first album. This album feels a lot darker though. Production is strong and Banks is a beast on the mic. The 'softer' songs are also pretty good. Listen to it if you like lyrical, dark, gangsta albums

Banks changed it up from the first album, and it's meant to be more raw, u have to be a dumbass not to realize that, overall this album is way underrated and is just as good as his first one.

I dunno about this album. I had thought that he was white since his name is "Lloyd" but it turns out he is black. That was weird.

Great Lyrics. Beats remind me of that 80's LL and Rakim. There are three tracks that felt tacked on.

Not quite as good as The Hunger For More, but this album delivers. Best tracks are: Survival, Hands Up & You Know The Deal. I recommend you buy it if you are a fan of Banks or G-Unit.

There's one ok song on here... Hands Up. Download the single from iTunes and move on. THere's nothing else to hear here. Much like most G Unit stuff.

This album is getting way too many negative reviews. At this point, I actually think I might like it better than the first one. In terms of a complete package of voice, lyrics, flow, syllables, and poetic structure, there is basically nobody in the game that compares to Banks, Jay-Z included...that's right, I said it! The production could be better (Playboy 2 is one of the worst This album is getting way too many negative reviews. At this point, I actually think I might like it better than the first one. In terms of a complete package of voice, lyrics, flow, syllables, and poetic structure, there is basically nobody in the game that compares to Banks, Jay-Z included...that's right, I said it! The production could be better (Playboy 2 is one of the worst beats I've ever heard make a major rap CD), but Banks still makes every song enjoyable with his trademark punchlines. "You Know the Deal", "Strangers", and "Survival" are all amazing street tracks, and "Help", "One Night Standin'", and "Iceman" all have big hit potential. My advice is listen to the album in its entirety before you make a purchase decision. Banks, 50, and G-Unit fans will not be disappointed, but it may not be the more casual listener's cup of tea. 1. The highlights are way high, but the album as a whole is "fans-only."

Trademark G-Unit, pakced with a few thunderous club jams and too little else. [Oct 2006, p.128]
  3. Banks seems determined to launch a one-man revival with perfectly polished tracks like "Addicted" and "Hands Up."
