Love the composition of the instruments! I enjoyed the album just like his debut one!

This is an instant Classic by Sam Fender. He's one of the most talented artists in Britain right now.

I'm new to rock (I listen more to pop, pop punk, a bit of rap, and theater songs), but this album is just out of this world. Perfect songwriting, almost perfect production, and the stories each song tells just slap. This album, as Fender aimed, does enlighten and open the eys of a seventeen-year-old to the world at large. And please, listen to 'The Dying Light.' No cap, one of the most well-written songs ever.

Sam Fender is quickly becoming one of the best UK artists at the moment, this album does not disappoint with a good balance of deeper tracks and more uplifting melodies. A couple of my very few complaints are that it was slightly too long and most of the better tracks had already been released as singles but great album nonetheless.

Favourite tracks: "Seventeen Going Under", "Spit of You", "Pretending That You're Dead" and "Getting Started"

An absolutely amazing album by Sam Fender. It completely encapsulates the problems young people and the working-class face in current Britain.

This album is a snapshot of Sam Fender's life in North Shields at the age of seventeen; with references to working class struggles as well as personal insecurities. Whilst this album has some great moments with the phenomenal "Spit Of You", it does turn rather dull during the second-half. I'd probably need some more time with it. Easily one of the best rock albums in years!
Sam has made a masterpiece and that’s saying a lot in this day and age.

Incredible, Fender deserves way more recognition. This album is quite possibly my favorite of 2021, so heart-felt and honest. Get you down is also one of my favorite songs of the year. This is a great evolution from Hypersonic Missiles (which I also love btw).

I wish Sam Fender got the same recognition as overrated mediocre singers like H*rry Styl*s. Sam is a great song-writer who writes about so many different topics, brings awareness to social issues. He makes ART. I enjoyed this album even more than his debut, he keeps improving himself. Love you Sam!

I truly believe that Sam has a "Born to Run" level album in him, and if what he's given us in the very best bits of this album are any indication, and if he continues to make a B-line towards his true potential, his next could be one of the greatest rock albums in modern history. This album, however, would still be up there. As an aside, it's a shame that Angel in Lothian didn't make the standard edition. It may be one of the best songs he'll ever write and anyone who holds that it's his best song yet will hear no argument from me. It should be a concert staple for decades to come. Expand

Go Sam Go. Born out of a rough childhood and a winner of the Brits Critics Choice Awards musician, and actor released a couple of albums Dead Boys and Hypersonic Missiles probably best known for the FIFA song Play God. His latest effort Seventeen Going Under you will want to add to your collection or streaming service. Enjoy I did thoroughly!

Seventeen Going Under is powerful, essential stuff, a coming of age album that speaks to the human experience in the here and now. Its creator is absolutely the real deal.

His thoughtful truisms and sonorous songwriting arm them with the required soundtrack. To quote the man who started it all, “The great challenge of adulthood is holding onto your idealism after you lose your innocence.” No one has risen to this challenge with such success, humility, and brilliance as has Sam Fender.

While Seventeen Going Under excels when Fender looks inward, the intimacy is disrupted by scattered political musings.
