Mesmerizing sound and beautiful poetry. This band should be big. Some songs sounded better as an EP releases with more acoustic sound.

I absolutely love this album, its exquisite song-writing and story telling, dream like guitars and a vibe that can just put you in a good mood- even if the lyrics say otherwise. The uniqueness that is held with Leo Wyndham's voice further provides a wonderfully crafted band and album. That doesn't mean that this is an absolutely perfect album in any way, it definitely has it's flaws. But the simplicity that the album holds with it's unique characteristics remains as one of my favorite albums. Expand

A little restrained to be truly great but it’s a really good chill indie album.

The album's not without its moments--most notably the sense of urgency propelling recent single Have Faith. But too much sounds bloodless. [Jan 2017, p.111]

The album can become at times feel too self-involved and unsettled, in regards to the fluidity of the tracks and the thorough examination of emotions, which at time has the tendency to sound a little forced.

So Long Forever has a knack of sounding nothing like your prototypical debut album, with no sign of any unsanded edges or rawness. Instead, the album’s sound is that of a band that have honed their sound over a number of exponentially strong releases.
