After 7 years, Daughter has not changed a lot, which is not a problem really. They bring us a new slow peace exploration of what they are, and they are good at being themselves. They bring to the world a really necessary, tender and mellow exploration of ambient and folk music that will comfort those with soft hearts.

Daughter, with each album, brings us a genuine sound that is faithful to its philosophy. This time it advanced with a sound with a less melodramatic experience like the previous albums and tackles new themes. But without losing its essence. Here's Album of the Year

Stereo Mind Game certainly sustains an atmosphere, but it's a brooding and bleak one, and at times the darkness of Daughter's dream-pop can feel a bit suffocating. [Jun 2023, p.85]

The smaller stakes of Stereo Mind Games feel healthier and rewarding; the music is still vulnerable, but anguish no longer consumes every moment.

Her singing is excellent throughout, whether coolly confident on Be On Your Way’s account of letting a long-distance relationship lapse, or glassy and slightly numbed during Party’s hymn to hard-won sobriety. It takes a while to absorb how cleverly arranged songs such as Junkmail and Future Lover are, as 12 Ensemble’s delicate string orchestration adorns robust performances from Haefeli and Aguilella.
