Stony Hill is one of the best Reggae albums of this year. The first tracks are mostly Rap but after Time travel the songs become quite chilled and then Upholstery comes on and gives you heavy Rap. But after that, the album becomes chilled again.
The only problem I have with this album is that songs
sometimes get repetitive, but overall it's a great album worth listening to.

There are diversions into pop and hardcore dancehall but overall it's a strongly enticing release. [Dec 2017, p.91]

Lyrically, it’s what you might expect, with odes to the medicinal properties of marijuana (Medication), lamplit sweet nothings (Grown and Sexy), and a string of socially conscious lamentations.

Stony Hill is testament to the timeless consistency of Marley’s work.
