A huge return to form for The Used and an album that stands amongst their first four. It's a very experiemental, atmospheric and bizarre album, and if that's not what The Used do best then I don't know what is.

Wow ! What a mature album from The Used. Someone would think that album of so many songs cannot be as good but the true is that this album is. Every song has the own place in The Canyon and really fits in it. Lyrics are wonderful and full of emotions. Production is sophisticated. As a result, The Canyon is a fresh, modern alternative rock album and it is the biggest surprise of this year.Wow ! What a mature album from The Used. Maybe even better than Brand´s New Science Fiction.

Best songs: Broken Windows, Vertigo Cave, Upper Falls, Over and Over Again

Great album - way better than their last effort. Give Moving the Mountain, Upper Falls and Selfies in Aleppo a whirl. Definitely not over produced like some of their other albums.

The seventh LP by these Hot Topic/Warped tour faves sees the onetime mainstream screamo success story trying really hard to acclimate itself with whatever constitutes the present mainsteam-music climate. [No. 149, p.61]

The post-hardcore foundations are here, complete with drama-fuelled, singalong choruses, but what The Used have built upon them opens up a new world of creative opportunities for them.

An album which simply allows itself to be washed over, and take it all in. To simply be. In a time when even being must hurt like hell, that's one hell of a gift to give to the world.
