    Album number 5 is another outstanding effort from the Northern Irish guitar shredders. After veering in different directions on the past couple of records, "The Endless Shimmering" is a return to the sound of their first two albums. As always with these lads, the guitar work on here is phenomenal. "Dying Giants" is a personal favourite but the album is best swallowed whole. IncredibleAlbum number 5 is another outstanding effort from the Northern Irish guitar shredders. After veering in different directions on the past couple of records, "The Endless Shimmering" is a return to the sound of their first two albums.     With The Endless Shimmering, these Irish lads prove they have a musically emotional palette as colorful as its instrumental arrangements. For that reason alone--to say nothing of the excellent songwriting it contains--The Endless Shimmering is a new milestone for a band that hasn't lost the ability to surprise.

    The sense of optimism is infectious, and even with plenty of stiff competition for the title, The Endless Shimmering might be the year’s most exhilarating post-rock album.
