As an album, all the tracks blend well together so that you end up with a cohesive listening experience without necessarily being able to pick out any standout moments. It's nice stuff, soft on the ear and floats along easily. One could argue a little too easily. The likes of "Mountain's Shadow" is a good example of what to expect from this album - nice solid songwriting with good instrumentation but the 3 minutes 17 seconds seem way longer due to the beige nature of the sound. It’s the rare album that manages to soothe and calm without burying its head in the sand--like a guided meditation through the reality of living in today’s world.
