Just too weak for Meth-Tical. And I hear no Wu-style here. That's no good.

This album is okay at most. It seems to be put together for the masses, not for the true fans of the Wu. It falls flat when comparing to his last two albums, and will go by the wayside in the decade that comes.

Lackluster at best. Meth is lookin really bad in this one, and there are alot of different people on his record. ALOT! the track he does busta is hot. The Reggae Kardinal Official track is hot, both the rest is eh....OK. Meth tries to sound like the people that he is colaborating with. When ludacris is on that track Meth tries to sound like Luda. When Busta is on the track Meth tries to Lackluster at best. Meth is lookin really bad in this one, and there are alot of different people on his record. ALOT! the track he does busta is hot. I actually like the one with Missy, but overall this album is an abysmal embarassment to the name Tical.. no where near being qualified to be a prequel to the classic Tical.

Meth gets a 2... for 2 good songs. This release was a joke, and from the man who didn't want to do the "All I Need" with Mary J. because it was too commercial, it felt like a slap in the face to hear Missey Elliot on the CD. A crying shame. Me and some co-workers just took it out back and set fire to it --- John Blaze huh?

Ah Meth, maybe i was expecting to much from you but the album wasn't mind blowing although they were some moments of the 'Method Man' and even so at times u weren't at your best your average is still shit hot on the overall basis of wats out there.

I waited five years for this?!?!?!?!? Better yet, it took Meth five years to make this?!?!?! I was a die hard Meth fan, but this is just a weak album, with maybe two somewhat decent songs.

  1. While Tical 0: The Prequel is an adequate and at times entertaining record, too much collaboration has overshadowed the rhyming prowess and lyrical wittiness of Method Man.

The killer swarm of 1994's Tical and Tical 2000's astro-black ambition aren't anywhere to be seen. [27 May 2004, p.80]
  3. It's, well, a thoroughly professional record. And therein lies the problem. Method Man, perhaps more than any other Wu-Tang member bar ODB, has personality to burn, and trying to force it into a box fit for any other hit rapper is an impossible task.
