Apr 26, 2015Emotional, versatile, empowering, touching. Mackenzie's amazing velvet toned voice is a perfect medium to perform this bunch of well-written songs. It's just a matter of time before she evolves into a fully mature songwriter, still this is one of the best debut albums I've ever heard.

Apr 8, 2013Definitely a favorite of mine for this year. Excellent song writing and the vocals just ooze emotion. The instrumentation was also very impressive for a debut self- release. I certainly look forward to what Torres can do in the future.

Dec 5, 2013This sounds like it could be the first flowering of a major talent.

Q MagazineNov 25, 2013There is a slight foal-legged wobbliness to some of her allusions, some of the ardour, a roughness that prevents When Winter's Over or Come To Terms from being a too-mature blend of Cat power and KT Tunstall. [Dec 2013, p.115]

Nov 25, 2013It’s wrought with haunting, high-stakes emotions, but the strength of Scott’s voice means it never feels melodramatic or plainly vulnerable.
