While this album starts off strong with Book of Love and the ever-catchy Temple and Disappear with Lynn Gunn of PVRIS, I feel after that album becomes unforgettable. The songs sort of blend together and not in a good way.

Occasionally one song simple bleeds into another. ... On the whole, however, Underworld bears the mark of a band redefining who they are and putting themselves back on steady footing after a wobble. [6 Jan 2018, p.52]

While the bulk of Underworld is immediately enjoyable, there is a lot of material that is ultimately unmemorable, despite a handful of key tracks that serve to satiate until the next release.

Underworld might not reach every peak it aims for, but it tugs on the heartstrings in all the right ways.
