    Such an incredible album. The only flaw I have with the album is that I wish it was longer because I didn't want it to end. Incredible vocals and harmonies.

    It's a sensual mescal of sounds, but. At the same time very funny, they manage to make a very funny album and easy to listen to despite its duration, it is a very good and very attractive album with the voices of these 2 sisters

    Chlöe and Halle Bailey literally killed in their sophomore studio album, and they saved my whole soul and spirit, and somehow them lit up my life with their voices, lyrics and productions. Those girls and their songs, albums, mixtape, ep, vocals, power, finesse, classy, kindness, fun, joy and personalities brought the sweet part that I needed. THEY'RE THE SWEETENER IN MY DAILY BASIS!

    With Ungodly Hour, the magical duo of Chlöe and Halle Bailey creates an angelic record with an amazing production, a heavy bass and wonderful strings. Arguably considered amongst the modern top vocalists, Beyoncé's protégées are truly killing it. You don't want it to end, and when it does, you can only pray to come back to the Ungodly Hour the next day.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ungodly Hour is everything it needed to be and more. Its a progression from their debut album and finds them experimenting with new sounds while still being as authentic as they have always been. Chloe is still very involved in the production though not as much as she was in their debut. The albums into and first track, Forgive Me are very moody and atmospheric and they have some trap elements as well. The next track Baby Girl is the first in a string of female empowerment tracks on the album, produced by Chloe it has some Caribbean flavor to it and a powerful chorus. Do it, which was released as a single is is a smooth R&B track which just gets sweeter as it goes with that chorus. WHAT A BANGER! Tipsy has much darker lyrics than the other songs but you might even miss it because of the very upbeat fun production. The title track is a club anthem which also deals with the theme of love. Its very impressive to see them venture into this sound. Busy Boy is also a great R&B song that sounds like something straight out of the 90's, it just reminded me of TLC and Aaliyah, love it! Catch Up,the duet with Swae Lee has very nice Hip Hop production and a nice chorus as well, like something you would hear at a house party. The next 2 tracks which are my personal favorite , Overwhelmed and Lonely deal with more somber subject matter but have a very hopeful and uplifting message as well. The next 2 tracks after Lonely are traditional R&B ballads which deal with more mature subject matter in a way Chloe and Halle have never done before. The albums last track also has a very motivational message and it sounds like something that would fit on their debut perfectly. All in all, these girls did what needed to be done lol. The album is so cohesive and it has no fillers (at least for me) and this is just so rare. The growth, the vocals and melodies they show here is excellent.     Chloe x Halle delivered every single aspect with this album. The production is on point, the vocals are majestic and their chemistry in every song is just mind-blowing. The transitions between the songs are flawless, R&B perfection.

    Of heaven and truly blessed by every divine being. Just angelic pureness of their voices juxtaposed with raunchy and yet heartfelt hedonistic lyrics. The sympathy they evoke is otherworldly. Their hypnotic harmonisation, the alluring melodies and trancing runs all mould to show one thing: the wonders of natural musicality. Just so much talent, pure art.

    This album is the surprise of the year, nobody expected it but it came and brought with it R&B, House and Pop in the right measure and that we needed. In addition to showing the girls' maturity, it opens the range for more people to get to know them and opens up the possibility for them to challenge themselves vocally.

    It's a good R&B album, but I'm not sure what happens to it that makes me unable to listen to most of the songs until the end. Although their voices go hand in hand with the background beats, I think a complete piece was tiring to listen to.
    Still, I still think "Ungodly Hour" is a good R&B album and it delivered most of what the fans wanted!

    Pepe e Nenem entregaram TUDO e mais um pouco aqui.. depois que fizeram o the kids are alright viraram pra beyoncé e disseram "ainda vou te dar muito orgulho velha". E deram! Da pra ver bem como elas cresceram como artistas de um álbum pra outro.

    Ungodly Hour has to be one of my favorite albums released this year. The beat and lyric to every song is magical. I just wish they would've taken out the feature off the album as that one tends to be a skip. Chloe's vocals on the title track "Ungodly hour" are very good.

    Going into this album I wouldn't have described myself of a fan of R&B; the genre appeared to me as too chill, too boring. And yet, Ungodly Hour has completely changed my perspective and now I'd like to explore more similar artists. We open with some breathy harmonising and a nice spoken word transition into the first real track, Forgive Me. You get hit with some good vocals and a hardGoing into this album I wouldn't have described myself of a fan of R&B; the genre appeared to me as too chill, too boring. And yet, Ungodly Hour has completely changed my perspective and now I'd like to explore more similar artists. We open with some breathy harmonising and a nice spoken word transition into the first real track, Forgive Me. You get hit with some good vocals and a hard hitting beat, and while this is far from the best track here, it's a sign of things to come. This track and the next, Baby Girl, are both pretty good songs don't get me wrong, but there's something stopping me from loving them - I think that's because they both fail to remain interesting and attention-grabbing throughout the whole song. But with Do It, the lead single, we get an insanely catchy tune with the almost hypnotising beat at the beginning and the addictive 'that just how we do it, do it, do it'. Tipsy isn't your (almost) standard R&B song, and while I'm not crazy about it, the song does switch things up a bit while still maintaining the vibe and cohesiveness of the project. Next we have the title track, Ungodly Hour, which I fell in love with the very first time I listened to the album. It sonically reminds me of REM off of Sweetener, and the lyrics about loving someone and them not always reciprocating it (but you'll be there when they do) really resonated with me. Combined with the up-and-down vocalising on the chorus this is my favourite song here. Then there's Busy Boy, which features some good songwriting about a guy cheating, and is also a solid ear worm. With the song Catch Up, we get an unfortunate blip in the quality of this project - it doesn't fit into the vibe of the album, the first rap part sounds generic, and it just sounds like an attempt to get onto the radio. A definite skip for me. I don't have a whole lot to say about the next four songs, except that they're all decent and are a continuation of the vibe from the beginning. Not much stands out about them, but they're enjoyable nonetheless. The album ends with ROYL, with some jumpy piano chords and some chant-like singing that runs throughout but doesn't get boring or repetitive. I quite like this album; I'd have liked it more if there were some more interesting elements to some tracks and if Catch Up didn't exist - but overall I'd listen to it again.… Expand

    The album was well divided between the girls, each one with a different vibe. Vocally wise, the track 'Wonder What She Thinks Of Me' it's the highlight. 'Ungodly Hour', 'Do It' and 'Forgive Me' brings a different side of the girls we didn't get to see before. The word that most represents the album is growth.

    This is really my type of R&B music. It is so beautiful. This album is so mature. It speaks about the female empowerment and women's desire around men. I love the harmonies. Some of the tracks here sound a bit boring, and some of the tracks are very outstanding. Best tracks : "Ungodly Hour", "Lonely", and "Wonder What She Thinks Of Me".

Lyrically and melodically stunning, with themes not much talked about by 20 year old girls, in addition to a great evolution compared to the first album The Kids Are Alright. Growth. Maturity. A mix of pop and R&B, with a delicacy for topics such as loneliness, pressure and betrayals, the duo Chloe x Halle did wonders with Ungodly Hour,This album exceeded all possible expectations for me.     This is album of the year for sure. I haven’t heard a project that flows together sonically in awhile and these talented girls didn’t disappoint! You can tell they gave their all into producing and writing on this album. I can’t wait to see how much more successful they become.

    I love this album so much. I can’t stop listening to it. It amazes me how two young beautiful black girls can write and produce such a good album. It just shows how much they’ve grown and I absolutely adore them. With this album, Baby Girl, Ungodly Hour, Lonely, Forgive Me, and Wonder What She Thinks Of Me are the best songs on the album to me.

    Chloe x Halle showcase growth effortlessly within this project. I've been following them since YouTube days and this project is one to not only catapult their career but declare longevity as well. This masterpiece touches on various subjects that cause conversation; whether with self, your significant other or friends.

    Ungodly hour is one of the best albums of the year and one of my favorites if all time. The sisters have such different voices but are blended so perfectly. They should win all the Grammys with this work of Art. It’s beautiful from start to finish.

    Chloe x Halle have managed to experiment with more popular radio-friendly sounds, while maintaining the essence of their artistry, filled with impeccably stacked background vocals and the intricate harmonies that they are known for - or should be known for. The songs are also more mature on this album, clearly sending the message that they are growing into adults while simultaneously avoiding the overindulgent vulgarity and irreverence which plagues many artists' sophomore/"all grown up" efforts.
    The songs are lined up well and are all connected to each other, while telling a clear story of two growing young women who are experiencing life and relationships; the freedom, the jealousy, the heartbreak, the poor judgement, all of it!
    Vocally, they are the best they've ever been - a tall order, considering they already were two of the most skillful vocalists of their generation. Halle's voice remains ethereal, light and angelic, Chloe's remains elegant, refined and edgy. Together, they effortlessly continue to innovate and cultivate a sound which is unlike any other. Props to Chloe particularly for producing 'Tipsy' and 'Wonder What you think of me' , yet another feather in the cap of the two ladies who also wrote and co-wrote every single song on this album.
    In a perfect world, this album would be played EVERYWHERE and would sell a million copies in its first week and would also pick up a few Grammys. The hauntingly beautiful ballads work just as well as the fun and edgy bangers due to their expert use of harmonies and background vocal layering.

    Some of the songs (or melodies) will stay with you for a while, you'll find yourself humming and/or replaying them in your head when you get up in the morning. They're that good.
