    I am really surprised by this album! I didn't know Louis Tomlinson before, but I can see how sincere and full of history and true emotions the lyrics are. The beats are different from song to song and this makes the album pleasant to listen to and not tiring. Definitely entered my list of favorite albums.

    O álbum é incrível e muito coeso, você consegue sentir e entender perfeitamente o que quer ser transmitido através de cada composição, e essa é uma das melhores qualidades artísticas do Louis (compor de forma honesta). Além disso, o instrumental combina maravilhosamente bem com as letras, e é um ótimo exemplo do indie pop atual. Eu realmente amei e recomendo que ouçam.

    Louis Tomlinson did a good job keeping true to himself and not trying to write hits for charts. Sure, a few songs are flawed but there is no way we can ignore he is, in fact, a new artist (on his own). Some lyrics are very deep and personal, Only The Brave is a great tune.

You can feel the mix of emotions that he felt during the process of the album. In two of us he express his pain, however it contains also a positive message; always you has a different vibe that impressed me and it is perfect for live shows that will make the crowd sing as loud as they can while he shows his regreat for letting “the one” go. Louis proved (once again) that he is one of the best writters of this generation giving us lyrics like “It is a church of burn romances and I am too far gone to pray” and “looked you in the eyes, saw that I was lost/ For every question why, you were my because”. In addiction, his voice is so good and he has total control over it what makes possible amazing vocals as in defenceless, fearless and walls.

    Finding artists who are totally sincere in their compositions is rare. Louis Tomlinson with Walls, we give an album full of songs with stories being told from behind. The sound, the way his voice echoes, is surprising. He is a great composer, one of the best of this generation.

Kill my mind opens the album beautifully, you immediately feel sucked into Louis’ British roots, with his thick thick accent and magician voice singing a typical Brit pop song. On the album he introduces a sound we haven’t heard from him before, Britpop and indie, in songs like kill my mind, walls and only the brave, meanwhile tomlinson still stays loyal to his pop roots with songs like perfect now, don’t let it break your heart and too young. His voice, even though maybe not the strongest Voice coming out of one direction, sounds magical and suck you into the story he’s telling with his music. Songs like fearless, too young and two of us make it heart to not tear up, while I can imagine perfect now will work empowering for his mainly female fanbase. I thought the album was an excellent, guitar driven album. Tomlinson got a new fan and I can’t wait what the future holds, it can only get better from here.… Expand

    This album is so refreshing to hear. It's like going back into the time when all lyrics were good and not just about the beat. All tracks are phenomenal — lyrics wise and tune wise. This album has no skips. Incredible!

    I think Louis debut album is solid. The album clearly shows the transition between his 1D days towards his solo work. I like it that the songs are relatable to me - as I also experienced loss of loved one, hardships in relationships (and moving towards breaking down the walls) and loving/missing someone special to me. Coming from someone who has never been a huge One Direction or Louis Tomlinson fan, I am rather impressed. 'Always You' has a very catchy chorus that has been stuck in my head for a day and the single, 'Walls' consists of a nice melody and a great level of production.Louis Tomlinson demonstrates a good level of maturity and growth in terms of his sound throughout his debut album.     However, I had somewhat of a 'meh' moment while listening to 'Perfect Now', which has a positive message that applies to many of Tomlinson's fanbase, it simply was not for me.
    A notable element of Louis' music is that his voice is quite distinct, in a very positive manner - his timbre is extremely pleasant.
    Overall, I recommend the album to anyone who has a taste for the realm of alternative-rock-pop!

    this is an album four years in the making and one i think was definitely worth the wait. ive always been drawn to louis as a lyricist and this album really showcases his talent as a wordsmith with lines like 'i've ran out of energy of playing someone i've heard im supposed to be', 'we're sleeping on our problems like we'll solve them in our dreams' and 'oh the lonely shadow dances from thethis is an album four years in the making and one i think was definitely worth the wait. ive always been drawn to louis as a lyricist and this album really showcases his talent as a wordsmith with lines like 'i've ran out of energy of playing someone i've heard im supposed to be', 'we're sleeping on our problems like we'll solve them in our dreams' and 'oh the lonely shadow dances from the cradle to the grave' these in particular really stand out to me for their honesty and poetry. he's finally been given the opportunity to showcase his voice and it is beautiful, standout moments for me are his high notes in 'always you' and the bridge in 'defenceless'. louis has done an incredible job of introducing a new sound to his already dedicated audience without dismissing the sound that we had all initially fallen in love with, this is just a taste of what he can do and it's only going to get better from here. my favorite songs so far are 'only the brave', 'always you', 'defenceless', 'habit' and the title track 'walls' but honestly there isn't a single track i would skip and ive been listening to it non stop all day.… Expand

How amazed was I to discover that he was brave enough to follow the path of britpop! The melodies made me nostalgic and his voice is a delight to hear. The lyrics are honest and sometimes painful,I was incredibly surprised by Tomlinson's debut.     It's an album that everyone should listen to, with songs that reminds me of 80s rock but his style and the song it ends with is beautiful in every way (the vocals, the lyrics and the instrumentation) so I recommend you listen to "walls"

    An amazing debut album by Louis Tomlinson with wonderful musical arrangements, great singing voice that carries the emotion of the songs, and heartfelt, gorgeous lyrics. I also really enjoyed the well-balanced variety in styles and mix of upbeat and slower songs - you can tell, he is finding his own sound and place in the industry.

But my favorite of all then is “Only the brave”, whose only problem is that it finishes too soon. My less favorite is “perfect now”, too cliche for my liking. Being inspired by a lot of British Pop, I think it's safe to say that in his next songs will sound a lot like Kill My Mind and Walls. Two of Us is one of the most memorable tracks on the album - being written by Louis after he mom passed away. It has the right amount of grief and hope, probably one of the best songs on Walls. Don't Let it Break Your Heart and Walls are two of the fan favorites and rightfully so. Joined by Defenceless, these three show us the Tomlinson isn't afraid of being vulnerable and I think it's amazing to see a grown up man so comfortable with his emotions and vulnerability.. Too Young has an amazing guitar work and the right touch of sadness and nostalgia, where Louis talks about finding true love and making mistakes but realizing that there was still chance for him and 'the . Habit is also a break up where he realizes that he can't stop loving that person. That realization gets even stronger in Always You, when Tomlinson sings about traveling the world and still not being able to forget about that person, instead, after going from place to place, he realizes that it has always been that person. Perfect Now resembles to Little Things by One Direction - but less catchy and more emotional. It could've been written for his sisters or even his fans, so it might also become a fan favorite. Defenceless' deep lyrics might be hidden by the upbeat sound, but it's still there. Fearless has a nostalgic sound, as Tomlinson is facing the changes in his life since he's not a teen anymore. Only the Brave is the only song that wasn't written by him and it's also the shortest. The song has a very meaningful lyrics and the only bad thing about it it's the duration. Kill My Mind is the the 'happiest' song on the album.. From track 2 to 12, all the songs are sad - even the ones that are hopeful. Kill My Mind is the song to listen to while dancing and singing your lungs out… Expand

    I think Louis is in the best moment of his life to leave for a solo album, after one direction, his sound is different, it reminds me of oasis and old bands. his sound is magnificent and the lyrics are not left behind. a typical album that I would listen to do everything while I listen, although singles like kill my mind and two of us don't like me so much, 2 of us shakes me emotionall...I think Louis is in the best moment of his life to leave for a solo album, after one direction, his sound is different, it reminds me of oasis and old bands. his sound is magnificent and the lyrics are not left behind. a typical album that I would listen to do everything while I listen, although singles like kill my mind and two of us don't like me so much, 2 of us shakes me emotionall... it's sincere and honest.     the album's introduction, kill my mind, is a song that unfortunately doesn't get its due attention. she is mysterious, addictive, louis' vocals, as always, impeccable and with a rhythm and a composition very well done. the song is far from the best on the album, but it is very good.

    two of us is one of louis best songs, i would say, maybe the best in terms of composition. it has a story behind it, the music becomes truly impactful when you know the story, and you allow yourself to feel what Louis felt composing. she is absolutely fantastic.

    perfect now and don't let it break your heart are well made tracks with beautiful lyrics in their composition. they may get better value depending on the person.

    in particular, always you is probably the best on the album. with a nice rhythm, that sticks in your mind like gum, she presents an incredible composition with, again, the absurd vocals of louis.
    this is a lovely song, it tells about a beautiful and remarkable love. listening, you feel the love of louis, so much that you want it to be you in the place of your loved one.
    I am totally enchanted by a song.

    defenceless, fearless and only the brave are powerful tracks written by a * fearless * person, who put his feelings into words on paper and gave them a voice. listening to them, you feel everything you should feel. it's really incredible.

    Walls' is a very well done, delicate album, and that, if you listen carefully and allow yourself to feel all the sensations, well, you feel it. It's simple.

    it seems that louis tomlinson has broken all the walls that held him and is free to write sounds that make him proud and that it is possible to hear all his feelings.

However, after hearing Walls (the single), I realized this artist actually makes music which goes against the grain and not status quo. Tomlinson's focus on lyrics, the emotion, and the vulnerability in his story in every song is what music is missing.Walls by Louis Tomlinson sincerely surprised me. Although there are moments where the artist digresses in sound and lyrics (Perfect Now, Always You), you still can't get the melody and words out of your head. The aforementioned songs, are the only ones I get pure pop vibes from.
    This album is unique. As the listener progresses through the album tracks, they can clearly identify the growth in Tomlinson's music and lyrics, and the outcome is a well written, foundation album that he can build on. If Kill My Mind, Fearless, Walls and Only the Brave is the direction Tomlinson is moving in for his sophomore album, I am here for it. I only see him getting better and better, and the 2nd album more focused on the sound he wants develop.
    Walls, in my opinion, has something for everyone, if you're a new, older fan, it brings back the 90's vibe, a la Green Day, Oasis and other alternative groups. It isn't perfect, but I would recommend this album to anyone who is looking for a feel good, inspirational, and honest lyrically based album. If your looking for outside the hum drum box of Top 40 radio, this is the album for you!    … Expand

    The album is just so good! The lyrics of songs like "Fearless", "defenceless" and "habit" are amazing, and you can see how good Louis is as a lyricist! Also the vocals are perfect. I wish the critics could give it better reviews, but wbk how is a trend being too critical to Louis Tomlinson, even when he's doing a good job.

    I will admit I used to be a 1D fan but swayed away in 2013. I've always thought Louis had the most recognizable and the most unique tone out of the bunch so this album clearly grabbed my attention. Walls is amazing, it makes you feel light and makes you reminisce of happy moments in your life. I would recommend this album if you want to feel close to someone you love/adore.     the album is great, louis makes me feel part of it and that's beautiful. I feel a special connection with "Two of Us" because I have gone through a family situation, it makes me feel that I am not alone. My favorite song is "Only the brave" is the one that lasts the least time but it made me feel many things, this album is only for the brave. Louis is brave. thanks x

    After a 4 years of working on this album, this is exactly what we wanted. The Louis's voice fits perfectly with all the melodies and all the melodies had a good rhythm not too fast but not too slow that makes you want to sleep or bores you to the first two songs

    All the songs are a banger! There's not one bad song. Louis smashed it with his debut album. The melodies are so beautiful and clean, they go so well with his unique voice that was made for indie music. If you like those 90s/Oasis vibes I suggest you listen to Walls. Finally the lyrics...man, there are not words to describe how incredible they are. Congrats lad! Amazing album.

    Respecto a las letras es totalmente sorprendente como logra plasmar sentimientos de la manera adecuada. Tiene una gran calidad y no se muestra repetitivo en los significados. Tienes sonidos muy puros y simples que permiten disfrutar plenamente las canciones. Y el tipo tiene una voz increíble, logra transmitir sus emociones en la mayoría de sus notas .

    Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
