    After the good debut and superb 13 tales, the Dandies kept releasing only some good songs on filler-filled albums. Its not until 2012 they would release a full release full with good tracks.

    What's with indie rockers trading their instruments for synthesizers? Welcome To The Monkey House by the Dandy Warhols is a complete letdown of a follow-up to the excellent Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia, whose concise song-writing is now nowhere to be seen.

    This album is definitely a change from their previous ones, but it's a change for the better. While I love the Dandy Warhols' psychadaelic and pop rock sound on their other albums, their "80's style" approach here meshed with their old sound is something different and worth listening to.     i love this album. i have a slight addiction to it. the lyrics are simple, and u can really feal the music as it plays. the first song i heard off the album was "we used to be friends" and i get it stuck in my head every day.

    This has been probably my favourite release of the year. Its an irreverant take on 80's pop, and has some truely driving songs (in fact its what I use biking to work every day!). I actually think that its significantly better than 13 tales, which had some high spots but overall lacked the coherance of Monkey House.

    A fun album you have to be in the right mood to enjoy. Very different than their last album musically, but most of the attitude, party feel, and good tunes remain. Not intellectually or emotionally stimulating, but a good time for sure

    Wow. I'm not even a Dandies fan- I've heard less than ten of their songs from other albums- but after listening to this album, they have been permanently added to my top 5 favorite groups. This CD is simply amazing.

    WOW! What a dissapppointment. I thought they were able to handle eclecticism after how erradic yet solid their previous album was. This is vacuousness at levels that seem almost celebrated. Their is nothing here. Nick Rhodes has taken any and all of Duran Duran's irreverence, removed all playfullness and replaced it with insipid minimalist disco. I respect the artist's bravery, WOW!     I can't help but think this is a minor step backward from the last CD. It's still really good, and definitely worth buying if you're a DWs fan, but I feel like I have to try to love these songs as opposed to being hit over the head with most of the last album's songs. A solid 7. Rumor is that they'll be quietly releasing a guitar-based version of this album. That I can't help but think this is a minor step backward from the last CD.     OK, I admit that I am biased, I have been a Dandies fan for a while. I thought the last album was really good, a bit all over the map, but I applauded the effort for trying different musical styles. They go for a 80's synthesiser rock and roll to great effect. A touch of electro here and there for a more modern feel. This is their most fun and accessible CD to date. A joy from start OK, I admit that I am biased, I have been a Dandies fan for a while. I thought the last album was really good, a bit all over the map, but I applauded the effort for trying different musical styles. They go for a 80's synthesiser rock and roll to great effect. A touch of electro here and there for a more modern feel. This is their most fun and accessible CD to date. A joy from start to finish. It will stay very close to the CD player till I over play it!
