one of the most amazing albums to listen to alone listen to the way his voice just pour out of him, like it's being channeled. at times playful, and spooky, it always reminds me of old antiques, beautiful and.. um, yes i'm high why do you ask?

Although Young Prayer isn't a very ambitious or experimental project unlike Panda Bear's AnCo work, he is able to pull off a beautiful, soothing piece of music. Listen to it on a cold winter day walking down an icy sidewalk and you'll understand why this is a masterpiece.

Nowhere near as good as Person Pitch or Tomboy, but still has a few somewhat decent qualities going for it. Panda Bear is at his best when he's experimenting, and this just isn't that much of a risk.

  1. Armed mainly with just his guitar and voice, Panda Bear creates some of the most longing and heart-rending songs you'll ever hear.

    Weirdly affecting. [Dec 2004, p.151]
  3. If you're a fan of work by the Animal Collective, you'll probably want to check this out, but keep in mind that you'll need a little patience.
