    This album has many great songs, but Lady Gaga was a bit late to the game with EDM. By 2013, it was already a saturated music market - lots of great songs here though and recommend a listen to pick those songs you like

Completely aware of what I’m saying, this album has changed my life. It gives me shots of raw art and its representation. I truly can’t understand why people give this album so much hate. If Lady Gaga had the chance to produce it on her way, without the pointless application of the record label, she’d probably deliver us, not only her career album, but the millennium album.… Expand

    abolutely a future album. i love this it is simply a perfect album. I can't understand why it didn't get a better metascore. The album is probably the best of the decade I haven't heard pop genius like this since MJ or Mad. It's INCREDIBLE!!!

    An album that could never live up to the hype surrounding it, only some of which Lady Gaga controlled. For her part, she failed to coherently and consistently deliver a message of intent for ARTPOP; instead, her descriptions only added fuel to the fire with meme after meme about a 'reverse Warholian' experience that was unrelatable to, well, everyone. In a more human language, ARTPOP wasAn album that could never live up to the hype surrounding it, only some of which Lady Gaga controlled. For her part, she failed to coherently and consistently deliver a message of intent for ARTPOP; instead, her descriptions only added fuel to the fire with meme after meme about a 'reverse Warholian' experience that was unrelatable to, well, everyone. In a more human language, ARTPOP was about elevating the art of music above the celebrity status attached to the persona behind it.

    The marketing and visuals behind Applause fit this narrative perfectly, as she ran through her previous era's iconic looks and slowly dismantled them in the video and performances. The album's opener - Aura - states the album's purpose clearly: "Do you want to see me naked lover? Do you want to peak underneath the cover? Do you want to see the girl who lives behind the aura?" Blunders like allowing Do What U Want, an empowering anthem about taking back control of her own self from the industry in its solo form, to be twisted into an in-your-face explicit duet with R. Kelly, and getting performance artists to overpower the music and rollout of future singles, rerailed any shot ARTPOP had.

    As it has been said, ARTPOP was ahead of it´s time.
    Calling Gaga a ¨tryhard for a topchart pop single¨ or ¨mainstream¨ in ARTPOP is probably one of the funniest thing I´ve heard so far, but clearly critics in 2013 have a lack of proper reviewing ability, especially when trying to compare Gaga´s work with other artists, releasing music back then.

    BEAUTIFUL ART. BEAUTIFUL POP. It taught me to like art more, pierrot has never been seen more. Gaga did not have such a good era with ARTPOP, but only those who lived know. it was beautiful, it was magical, it was Venus. Take me your planet!!!! In love Stil today

    Todas las canciones son espectaculares, no hay ningún skip, nada. Es perfecto, este álbum me hace casi decir que es el mejor de su carrera.

    This is one of my favorites albums of all time, ARTPOP will always have a special place in my heart and my soul. Lady Gaga is a genius AHEAD OF HER TIME! Love her.

I think at the time when this album was released not everyone understood what Gaga intended to say, but I am happy that ARTPOP is now beginning (AFTER 7 YEARS) to get the recognition it deserves. Also Applause and ARTPOP(the song) are top tier in Gaga's discography.… Expand

    ARTPOP it's an entire masterpiece, something new about lady gaga, and I found out my love for electronic music. How this album takes us to another dimension and break us free to dance and sing aloud as we want it's magical, gaga just showed us how she can recreate herself and do something big and different but at the same time amazing.
