A remix album that stands on its own. How **** rare. This album is just as fun employing the most disporic collaborators and giving them the spotlight to shine in. The sheer brilliance of this odd abrasive industrial piece of experimental pop is now canon in the hyperpop rise. Favourites:ringtone, 800dp,stupid horse

After getting interested in the album '1000 gecs' it was time to turn my attention to this famous remix project. Looking at the base album I was certainly expecting quite a stir for fifty minutes. And it was obviously a rough one.

With no less than twenty-one famous names (including bands names) to remix that auditive slap that was '1000 gecs', I was expecting an unequalled diversity.

With no less than twenty-one famous names (including bands names) to remix that auditive slap that was '1000 gecs', I was expecting an unequalled diversity. And that was also the case. Of course the apple never falls far from the tree (of clues HA-) and it's not surprising to realize that the general mood of the project revolves around wild and unbridled electro. But here it seems that we are dealing with an excessively intense musical fresco. Without any prelude, we go from electro consonances to rock, rap, hip-hop, pop and even acoustic guitar ballads! All along this album of decerebrated beings, we end up taking into consideration that the diamond nuggets that emanate from it come from the unsuspected arrangement of multiple genres. It's a shame, though, that we have to endure all this violence and tracks close to audio vomit to catch a glimpse of some sparks that are worth the detour.

Some of the most interesting tracks on 1000 Gecs and the Tree of Clues come from less predictable pairings.

The guests skillfully mold the originals into creations of their own, while still preserving some of the songs’ initial ideas.

It’s not for the faint hearted, but if you want to venture into the abyss, there’s a decent amount to marvel at. The future moves fast, but 100 Gecs move faster.
