  1. What distinguishes 2000 Watts is its pure pop appeal.

A finely wrought chronicle of joy and heartbreak, partying and love, his tuneful, raspy voice the perfect balance of eloquence and muscle.
  3. The rest of the disc glides along on that same smooth, if lightweight style, with Tyrese serving as little more than a hot conduit for top-notch producers and writers like Babyface, Jermaine Dupree and Diane Warren. Luckily, Tyrese can sing.

Sadly, there's also a depressing quantity of mush and devotion, totally at odds with his grinding best. [Sep 2001, p.122]
  5. Looks and charm can only do so much, and without a distinctive sound or banging tracks, Tyrese tends to get lost in the shuffle...

Tyrese has one of the best soulful voice out in R&B right now. The CD was very good.
