mattaOct 24, 2006Beyonce shows some range and diversity found in few if any of the other artists of her generation and genre. Bday is her best offering and it is easy to like. Don't just hate it because it's from a former member of Destiny's Child; Beyonce has branched out since her girl-band days and she sounds really good.

EricaFSep 11, 2006This CD is nothing compared to her first. I don't like it at all. Beyonce could have done a better job on this CD.

KittMSep 12, 2006This is a great album, with a nice combo of dance beats and soulful melodies.

GregGSep 12, 2006Too many uptempo songs that dont showcase her vocal ability....I thought the last album was far better.

tatianahSep 15, 2006Horrends work.. This album was made in 2 weeks but sounds like it was made in 2 days.. terrible work

desporSep 17, 2006This album is bad, no good songs and way to rushed. Dont bother getting it when there are far better cd's out that you can get.

RandyBSep 17, 2006Coming from a AAA star like Beyonce, the album as a whole is rather weak. There are a few good songs, but this album is very forgettable.

JamesGSep 21, 2006B'Day is brilliant. Great uptempo tracks and ballads on this one. It's an album that you can play just straight through without skipping any tracks. I really believe that this album will get an Album of the Year nomination. It's that good.

AlanSmithSep 5, 2006The music, the voice and the energy are all on par this time.

KaySep 5, 2006This can't be beat and is the hottest album I've heard in '06. Completely up-tempo with 2 killer balads. Thanks Beyonce - you did it again!

derrickpeppersSep 5, 2006On its own, B'Day is an amazing album that will surely garner her many awards in ceremonies to come. In comparison to the recent mind-numbingly aweful releases of some of her "peers" (ahem, jessica simpson) B'Day is an absolute masterpeice.

AdamSep 5, 2006No reason to not like this fun album

JulioSotoSep 5, 2006I'm a gay latin boi so I love Beyonce, but I'm a little saturated. It seems like she's everywhere and releading a new something something every single day since "Crazy in Love" came out. i

MattD.Sep 5, 2006It's disappointing that her upbeat songs aren't quite as melodic this time, but there's no denying the attitude on this CD. The ballads are her best yet.

JanisSSep 5, 2006Erratic, talentless and bland album. Although veru anticipated Beyonce fails to convince.

johnsSep 5, 2006awesome!

-
ShannonPSep 5, 2006Unfortunately most of the songs sound like Crazy in Love. Hopefully Kelly and Michelle will be free in a couple of months to do another DC album.
-
-
JeffXSep 5, 20063/4ths of the the tracks could be released as a single. I approached the Album expecting it to be okay. It has become one of those rare albums where more than just a few songs are really good. She is the best Singer over hip hop beats at the time.

Whereas Beyoncé's debut was accomplished in its diversity, albeit a sure sign of a new solo artist trying to find her voice, B'Day sounds like the album "Crazy In Love" initially forecasted.
-
BlenderB'Day never cools down, and swaety up-tempo numbers prove the best platform for Beyonce's rapperly phrasing and pipe-flaunting fireballs. [Sep 2006, p.138]
-
Apart from a few pop-R&B space-fillers, there's not much to dislike about B'Day.
