Jul 26, 2023one of the best albums of my life and I'm not even kidding
I mean, the score should be 100 wtf -
Aug 20, 2022the best album of 2021
including many subgenres of 70s rock, this album is so soft -
Jun 28, 2022Diverse yet brilliantly coherent. Everything - from the lyrics to the production, to even the visuals - seems incredibly thought out.
-

-
Feb 13, 2022From the lyrics to the beats, guitar and mesmerizing voice work by Ellie Rowsell, everything sounds brilliant. An album that will be remembered forever.
-
Jan 28, 2022It's a really beautiful album. The musicianship, lyricism and voice are top class and lift you from whatever state you're in.

Nov 6, 2021Way too calculated. It's still a good album though. Imagine what they would do if they weren't trying to sound like this or that.
-
Oct 26, 2021A living flash that moves for 40 minutes. Wolf Alice's new album tempts between melancholy and anger, doubts and facts. I thought it would d be more rocker, but I think the soft touches worked effectively.
fav tracks: "Smile", "Delicious Things", "Play the Greatest Hits", "The Beach II" & "No Hard Feelings"
KEY-TRACK: "How Can I Make It OK?" -

Sep 18, 2021Album of the year, this is a gift that Wolf Alice gave to us in 2021. With this album, the band is establishing itself as one of the biggest alternative rock bands today.
-
Sep 5, 2021As a blues, country, EDM, rock, and pop fan, I really liked Blue Weekend so much. Lyrically, this album is spectacular and musically it bliss your ears and soul. The live performance of Wolf Alice, particularly when they perform the blue weekend album, the band did really amazing, almost perfect.
Love Ellie so much -
Sep 3, 2021Amazing album, it gets better on every listen. The singles are good, but this is meant to be listened to as an album. Wolf Alice are the epitome of cool, so confident and stylish in every song.
-
Aug 31, 2021I just keep finding new surprises everytime I listen to this album even though I wasn't into a few tracks at the first place.
-

-
Aug 16, 2021A marriage of dreamy vocals and immaculate pacing.
Their best album by a stretch! -
Aug 12, 2021Wolf Alice’s best album to date and one of the greatest albums to come out of 2021.

Aug 7, 2021Really surprised by the acclaim for this album, it isn't that special as far as songwriting goes. The melodies are predicatable a bit dull, and well, nothing on here felt vital, nothing moved me. But Ellie Roswell's vocals are great and her band are excellent musicians, which is probably the only redeeming quality for me.

Jul 22, 2021The new album from the London alternative rock band is a cohesive collection of songs that may be seen as a reflection of the band members' souls as well as a warm embrace for people who listen to it. It's magnificent, passionate, mind-blowing, and daring all at the same time.
-
Jul 16, 2021This album has so many ups and downs in terms of tempo and style that it just blows me away! It is an incredible release with some thrashing, up-beat tracks and some seriously down-tempo chilled-out tunes that just culminate into a fantastic overall package

Amei a diversidade das produções e como ela combina com a mensagem da letra, cada musica é como se fosse parte de uma historia maior -
Jun 22, 2021"Blue Weekend" and its aura itself is so attractive. The album is filled with emotion, nuance, and growth. "Play the Greatest Hits" is an awesome punk rock song that you can just visualize people moshing to, Although the mixing can be the album's downfalls at points, the new Wolf Alice album is a great one.

Jun 19, 2021I must be getting old. 94 average score? Will appear on many best album lists? Lyrically pretentious, all simpering sincerity and one of the most annoying voices that I've heard in a while. I listened to four songs and it was torturous. I'll pass.
Seriously, I'm the only one who didn't like, make that, love this? 90% 10's? Curious. -
Jun 19, 2021One of the best albums of the last few years. Great and i love it. Emotional, energetic and beautiful.
-
Jun 18, 2021
-
Jun 17, 2021The best album in the Wolf Alice career. The first 6 songs are incredible. Ellie sometimes sings like Liz Fraser Cocteau Twins. Best songs for me How can I make it ok?, Delicious things, Smile, The Last man on earth. GREAT!!
-
Jun 17, 2021beautiful. simply stunning. another incredibly awesome collection of choons to match their first two gems.
-
Jun 15, 2021Every song is delightful, and they manage to do so much while all making it sound so put together. One of the best albums of the year by far.

Jun 13, 2021So Wolf Alice are this generations band that gets everything they do labelled genius.
Comfortably their worst album, average in every sense of the word. -
Jun 12, 2021Absolutely loved it! It for sure gets to be one of the best albums of 2021! Hoping for big Grammy wins, as well.
-
Jun 11, 2021Brilliant! Another Mercury-Prize deserving work for Wolf Alice. Why do Brits always create the best music?
-
Jun 11, 2021Unlike the last two albums, this one is mostly slow, boring, and unimaginative. Ellie's vocal melodies are not catchy or unique. Even the two harder songs pale in comparison to anything Wolf Alice did before.
-
Jun 11, 2021Pretty much flawless. Beautifully written , with confidence and drama and beautiful, tender lyrics. It's like everything that made the band exciting, they've managed to condense into something really powerful. Few albums come along that are so seamless. Goosebumps every time I listen.
-
Jun 10, 2021A winner! It hits every note and will be a huge crowd pleaser especially for followers of Wolf Alice. A delicious 10! Slow or fast tempo it doesn't matter just try to keep up. You will want to have repeat listens to catch every morsel.

Jun 8, 2021I can't comprehend how incredible this album is, a masterpiece of a band at the height of their power. Cohesive, emotive, nuanced, and best played loud in this unusual time. Rock will never die.
-
Jun 8, 2021With Blue Weekend, Wolf Alice have reigned in their constant genre shifting in order to create their most sonically cohesive album yet. Ellie Rowsell’s vocals and lyricism has improved tenfold and Blue Weekend is a masterful third effort.
-
Jun 8, 2021the album is soo good omg
i dare to say that this is one of the best albums of 2021 -
Jun 8, 2021This album is NOT special. FFS. There are a couple of "nice" tracks, but not one that is original or that hasn't been done 100 or 10000 times before. There are plenty of interesting "Indie" artists, like Dirty Projectors, Alt-J, Searing Diaper Teas... but this is just "acceptable".
-
Jun 8, 2021Absolutely breathtaking and Ellie's voice is spectacular! This album has something for everyone, and I can't wait to listen to it again and again.
-
Jun 8, 2021I was waiting for the new album not knowing what to expect and it exceeded my expectations. Amazing album!
-
Jun 7, 2021So, I'm obsessed. Blue Weekend is probably the best album I've heard in a year. Like, I made a metacritic account just to give it a 10/10 rating. I can't wait to hear the songs performed live!
-
Jun 7, 2021This is awesome!!! The sounds, their voices... I'm in love for all the songs of this album!
-
Jun 7, 2021I had never heard of this band before but I am completely blown away by this record...just incredible.
-
Jun 7, 2021In reality, it's a 97/100. But indeed, it's a really, really beautiful album. The intensity with which every song is executed is mesmerizing. I never imagined records of this kind could be so powerful in meaning, song writing, structure and production.
-
Jun 7, 2021Huge album. A stunning musical pearl. Discovered last night and this morning I could already be at the twelfth reproduction. Or something like that.

-
Jun 6, 2021As a huge fan of their music, I was taken back after first listen. Easily their best album. Can’t wait to fully dive into it after a few more listens.
-
Jun 6, 2021Wolf Alice always threatened to be good enough to make an album of this quality. Despite winning the Mercury Prize already, this is a massive step up from that into the true pantheon of greatness. Without exaggerating this is far better than they or anyone has made for a very very long time.
-
Jun 6, 2021Album of the year im calling it Theres absolutely nothing i dont like about this album it switches between genres while not once losing track of cohesion. Every track is great.

Jun 5, 2021Exceptional… They sure didn’t disappoint their patient fans… It was well worth the wait…
-
Jun 5, 2021A great surprise. They grown up and there's a sort of awareness in lyrics and in arrangements and production. Best album of 2021 since now.
-
Jun 5, 2021increíbles texturas a lo largo del LP, un juego de voces muy gratificante, y un acompañamiento sonoro digno de estar en los mejores discos de lo que queda de esta larga década. Candidato, de momento, sin competencia, al mejor disco del año.
-
Jun 5, 2021Think this is going to be a grower. Wolf Alice has once again proved that they are the kings of British rock right now. "Delicious Things" and "The Last Man on Earth are astounding, but "No Hard Feelings" is pure gold; it's like this album's "Don't Delete the Kisses." Blue Weekend sounds more restrained but in a good way. There's no denying that the band has reached maturity.
-
Jun 5, 2021this is magnificent, aoty, no doubt
form top to bottom, what an impeccable album -
Jun 5, 2021This band only gets better, Ellie's voice is captivating and lovely....Best album of this and the last two years!!
-
Jun 5, 2021A sold album throughout. A solid pinch and a beacon of light for guitar music
-
Jun 4, 2021Went into this album with a "I thought their last stuff was 'good' not 'great'." attitude. I was ready to be let down. Well... I was wrong. So good. Love every track. It's hard to even nitpick. I'm sure some will. This album exceeded every expectation I held. Each track exudes confidence, and you know exactly what they are trying to do, yet it manages to surprise at the same time. Great record.

Jun 4, 2021Such at atmospheric yet gutteral rock album. Ellie's voice is tremendous throughout the album. In usual Wolf Alice fashion, plenty of textures and sounds explored here.

Jun 18, 2021Blue Weekend isn’t a perfect record, with the folky No Hard Feelings and Safe From Heartbreak (If You’ve Never Been In Love) a little whimsical next to everything else going on. It matters little, though. Rowsell’s rallying cry in Smile that “I ain’t afraid of the fact that I’m sensitive” is borne out in a wild and tender third album.
-
UncutJun 18, 2021Blue Weekend is a collection of songs that immediately dazzle, with a relentless array of strong hooks, nestled within a sea of diverse sonic colours. [Aug 2021, p.35]
-
Jun 17, 2021Blue Weekend always nails the vibe, they nail everything, but often in a way that sounds micromanaged.
